Sorry ... the judges were looking for "a happy ending"What a big release...I mean relief...for Kraft
Hey, I take pride in my Kraft...Sorry ... the judges were looking for "a happy ending"
This is exactly why he shouldn't have fought them; 20 months after it happened and it's a reasonable big news story again. Particularly because it's pretty clear that while the police fucked up, Kraft also totally got a the full treatment massage at a shady place. So great his record is clean and he didn't do 20 hours of community service but we're now living with the idea (and, dear god, the mental image) of his tawdry activities.I remember when this all began and so many people screamed "Why is he fighting the charges?"
Whelp....this is why. The police done fucked up good.
So what? His charges would have been public regardless, you think not fighting them would have kept it quiet? And the jokes have already been made (as if this thread hasn't proven that). This is exactly why he shouldn't have fought them; 20 months after it happened and it's a reasonable big news story again. I'm not saying the can bury it if he settles early, but the sooner it's out of the headlines the better. So what? His charges would have been public regardless, you think not fighting them would have kept it quiet? And the jokes have already been made (as if this thread hasn't proven that).
As gross as the situation was, this is a situation of police misconduct. They shouldn't have been recording constantly, and their child-like cries of "we're concerned about human trafficking!" fall flat when they allowed the taping to go on for months without making a move to break up the supposed human trafficking.I'm not saying the can bury it if he settles early, but the sooner it's out of the headlines the better.
OGG's point is a fair one that his efforts may have helped others who were dragged into the sting.
I would have gone with “give them a hand.”Maybe next time the local PD will train their rookie detectives how to set up a sting properly.
You know, show them the ropes.
You're right, I blew it.I would have gone with “give them a hand.”
I thought for sure Roger would get a chance to come down hard, but instead it looks like Kraft punched the clown. When this broke there were many people saying the Pats needed to be punished, and many people in this thread who felt it was inevitable Kraft would at least have to step down and get replaced by Jonathan. So yeah, fight it and win and avoid any tangible damage.
Looking like a jackass is probably low on the tangible damage scale however it counts for something. He avoided prosecution because he’s rich and white. Welcome to the US justice system. And Jonathan was already effectively running things but I guess Bob keeping his figurehead position is a win for him. I know very little about the NFL’s personal conduct policy but I understand owners are supposed to be held to a higher standard than players and it wouldn’t surprise me in the least to see a player get pinched for a similar issue while Bawdy Bob catches no heat from the league. In short, fuck Ribald Robert and fuck the NFL. Sorry for the rant. Current events have me on edge and I’ll take my squawking to V&N.When this broke there were many people saying the Pats needed to be punished, and many people in this thread who felt it was inevitable Kraft would at least have to step down and get replaced by Jonathan. Hey, I agree with every sentence you wrote. That doesn't mean that he didn't make the right move in fighting this with every means at his disposal instead of rolling over and getting royally whacked, So to speak. I'm just saying that the notion that it would have been better to plead guilty, BE officially guilty, have the press after him to sell, have the fans after him to step down, risk a penalty/fine/suspension from the NFL - rather than just setting your lawyers free and ending up with a five second mention of "charges dropped" on the national news twenty months later is frankly ludicrous from a practical perspective. Obviously there is a major lack of ethics everywhere you look in this story.Looking like a jackass is probably low on the tangible damage scale however it counts for something. Yeah I agree. When you are rich, white and powerful throwing lawyers at your problems despite clear evidence of unlawful behavior is the right move. It’s unfortunate that he couldn’t simply admit that he screwed up, apologize and try to make amends. Too much at stake though for what otherwise would be responsible adult behavior.Hey, I agree with every sentence you wrote. U.S. District Judge Rodolfo A. Ruiz II on Friday ruled that the videos of Kraft and the others must be wiped from existence, because the Jupiter police surveillance was deemed unlawful.
On Dec. 30, Chief Assistant State Attorney Al Johnson responded that his office “has no interest in maintaining possession of, or releasing to the public, any of the surveillance videos garnered through these prosecutions post litigation, and never has been so inclined.”
The only obstacle to destruction of the videos has been a still lingering federal civil lawsuit, pursued by anonymous people who said they were recorded getting lawful massages in violation of their rights.
Last week, lawyers for the “John Doe” and unnamed others who sued Aronberg and Jupiter police, dropped Aronberg from the federal case, and announced a settlement had been reached with the town. The terms were not disclosed.
The parties agreed that the videos must be destroyed, and the judge granted that request. A “neutral third party” is to be hired to watch over the destruction, records show.
Yeah it should be on Pornhub.Well we're all grateful for that, really. No one wants to see that on TMZ.
It's all good, Kraft gets off once again.Yeah it should be on Pornhub.
Five posts and four months slower than dhappy...It's all good, Kraft gets off once again.
