Curious why you think JoeJuan gets traded? Seems like he’s now working with safeties and he has the versatility to be pretty useful, particularly in the event of a key injury.

I think there's a possibility he gets traded because there really isn't that much room for him at either corner or safety. He's behind a lot of guys and I think he still has good value around the league based on his preseason tape from last year at corner. Just a roster crunch type of thing in my opinion.

Based on a lot of what Bedard posted during camp, it's easy to imagine Devin Ross making the team and Sanu getting cut.

edit: also Phillips getting cut and Williams rostered (if I may use that as a verb).

I didn't see Bedard's take, but anther Pats guy said Cam seems to have most chemistry with Sanu.

QB - I'd add Hoyer to the 53.
TE - I think they'll upgrade Izzo on the trade/cut market.
WR - I think they are trying to sneak Thomas to the PS.
OL - I'd say Herron in, Cunningham out. Then they'll look to sign a veteran lineman and sneak Herron to the PS.
CB - I'd add Williams back.
ST - I think Bethel's getting cut.

I'd be surprised to see them not carry Hoyer on the roster with the uncertainty around both Cam and Stidham injury-wise. If either were to get hurt at least you have someone who already knows the offense and can step in. If he's cut it seems like he would be a candidate to sign elsewhere like he did with Indy a few years back.

It's a pretty big luxury to carry 3 QBs on a roster especially when Hoyer can revert to the practice squad this year. They're going to need that spot elsewhere. Hoyer is rooted down in New England so I don't think he'd choose to go somewhere else to play. As a vested veteran I do not believe he is subject to waivers.

I hope they upgrade on Izzo, but as of right now he's on. With Thomas, I think his speed is what they need. Apparently in the short time he's been on the field, he's really impressed them. I get what you're saying, but they need a burner like him. Bethel is too important to cut especially after losing Ebner. I like Herron as well, but Cunningham is more apt to take the 6th OL/TE role that they like versus Herron.

I can't see it. Sanu is the only WR other than Edelman with at least 500 career receiving yards. That's a super green WR corps without him, and I can't see them dumping Sanu in favor of a guy who had a hot camp.

Izzo has the same advantage Sanu does, albeit with far, far less track record. But other than Izzo, TE is all rookies.

That's Byrd, isn't it? I just don't see any playing time for a 6th WR.

Herron gives you inside / outside versatility though, potentially. Could be an edge over a guy like Onwenu that's more of a one-trick pony. I'm hoping they find room for both.

I'm not sure the team will want to expose Rohrwasser to waivers. Folk could be on standby if they decide to put Rohrwasser on IR later.

Folk, however, is precisely the type of vet who would be gone in a flash as teams look for a kicker

If he is so in demand, why was he available off the street in late August?

Onwenu did play tackle in HS, if it’s worth anything.
Onwenu was one of my guys throughout the process but even slightly trimmed down he just doesn’t have OT movement. As a guard though he has above average to good athleticism for his size. He was also working on center but he’d be the largest center they ever had and probably too big for it.

I went heavy at OLB, DB, and OL, and light at the skill positions and DL. I have Beau Allen on IR. I guess Jakobi could end up on there too?

I have no UDFAs making it.

That looks like a good list. I'd be tempted to swap in Myles Bryant for Cunningham (or one of the STers in the secondary), but the rest is about what I'd expect to see after cutdowns

Regarding Beau Allen, remember that a player can only be designated to return from IR if they've been on the active roster at some point during the season. If they expect Allen to play at some point this season, he'd have to make the final 53 first, then go on IR. Anyone who gets put on IR without making the final roster is done for the season.

Curious what his injury status really is, as it seems to be a big grey area. He was supposed to be the Danny Shelton replacement.
