Rory just topped one about 10 feet and into the drink. Looked like a horrible lie but you still don’t see that every day.

I swear to you, I had a vision in my head that Rory would do that right before he hit it. (Don't ask me how or why...the only difference is that I saw the ball making it halfway across the pond, not 1/8 of the way across.)

The top guys all farted their way around today. DJ is the only one with a chance to break par if he eagles 18. It’s thrown this thing wide open.

You'll be seeing Morikawa's bunker shot on a few highlight shows today

JT birdied 1 and X just stuffed on in there with DJ looking at a par. Would like to see a little drama here today.

JT is trying to make something happen. -4 through 7 (with a bogey). DJ is cruising along and still leads by 4 but he may be in some trouble off the tee on 7.

Every year, I always think 15 looks like the toughest hole I've ever seen. 233 to a narrow island/peninsula green. I think I could get there with a 3-hybrid, but not sure how many I'd have to hit to stay dry.

The 15th hole there is a monster and these guys make it look easy.

That’s a calm guy for someone who has won almost 20 million in the last 3 weeks.

Does he get something for actually winning?
No. Xander will split 2nd and 3rd FedEx bonus money with JT.

Hell of a run by DJ to end he year. That should lockup PoTY. Maybe he can carry this momentum into Winged Foot next week. How weird is it that the US Open is next week?

US Open is in 2 weeks.

DJ has to win POTY year now. Feels weird to award a POTY with only one major done.

In the "what if" category, we would have finalized Ryder Cup teams right now. They changed some of the rules with the Captain's Picks, but just going with a the old formula of 8 qualifiers 9 for Europe,, the teams would'v looked something like this:

US

Auto Qualifiers: DJ, Morikawa, Brooks JT, Webb, Bryson, Xander, Reed.
Captain's Picks, in my estimation: Finau, Berger, Woodland and then Tiger if he wanted it. Cantlay, Kisner or Fowler if Tiger sat out or you want someone other than Woodland.

Europe:

Auto Qualifiers: Tommy Fleetwood, John Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Victor Perez, Tyrrell Hatton, Danny Wilett, Matt Fitzpatrick, Lee Westwood, Bernd Weisberger.
Captain's picks: Not sure how crazy they would get, but I would assume Ian Poulter, Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose.

The standings are a affected by having only the 1 major this year, but those teams actually look about right to me. There aren't any glaring omissions at this point. Bummer we're missing it.

That's such a likeable US lineup. First time in a long time you could say that.

Minus Cheater McCheaterson
Bryson is likeable? Put him and Reid together against the top Euro pairs everyday. Not only would they annoy the shit of their opponents, they're also very good players.

Anyone watching the exhibition on golf channel? It’s a tiger designed course at “Payne’s Valley” in honor of Payne Stewart.

the course looks insane.
