i hate BAL so fucking much as a franchise, and hate harbaugh, but i love lamar jackson and can't even really find much to hate about this year's team beyond the laundry and the coach.
So I enjoy watching Lamar Jackson too, and always liked Mark Ingram. The most despicable Raven was always Suggs, and he’s a Chief now. Heck, I don’t even hate Jon Harbaugh as much as most do (or, at least, respect him more).

But I surely hate that laundry, and if you’re struggling to come up with a reason to root against the Ravens, just think of having to suffer Ray Lewis gloating right in your face. I can’t even...

Rooting for Minnesota though I may have to find another choice in a few hours. I think they would be a good story. One NFL championship prior to losing Super Bowl IV to AFL champ Kansas City, the last before the merger of the two leagues. It was the first of four losing SB appearances in the 70's and no appearances since '77. Cousins is far from the best QB in this post season but has some skilled offensive weapons. New Orleans is tough at home and these past couple of seasons have been able to pair a very good defense with an explosive offense. It will be tough to get past them and then Minnesota will likely have to beat 2 of San Francisco, Seattle and Green Bay. If they run that gauntlet it's probably KC or Baltimore waiting for them. Like I said I think it would make a great story, perhaps more so than any of the other teams ranked below them, plus when I was a kid in the 70's and first started following football I was a Vikings fan because my friend was.

Edited to correct the inaccuracy that Al Zarilla pointed out.

Baltimore- I love Jackson, but can't stand Harbaugh. This is a tough one, but can't do it.
Chiefs- Hard to root against Mahomes, Andy Reid seems like a good guy, so maybe them.
Saints- Can't root for Brees who promotes Gay Conversion Therapy.
49ers- I guess?
Titans- Not good enough to win the whole thing, so its a moot point.
Texans- Love Watson and Hopkins, but the ball washing of Watt will make me want to hang myself. Hard no.
Eagles- They already had their moment.
Vikings- Fan base deserves a win.
GB- See Watt above, only with Rodgers
Seattle- Very entertaining team.

I guess i wouldn't mind KC, SF, Minnesota or Seattle making it all the way.

Nitpick but the Vikings didn’t win an NFL Championship before the super bowl era.

1. Seahawks
2. Vikings
3. Titans
4. Texans

9. Ravens
10. Packers - Nobody here knows their fans apparently. Get ready for some fuzzy math (2 > 6) in the years to come.

No one. I've watched my last NFL game for the year (maybe ever).
I like your style.

The Titans? Fuck that team and Vrabel too, he ran off the field like Spartacus last night, taking shots at the team with his smart ass comments every chance he gets, still torked off about the way he was shipped out of town. It's a business Mike, you of all people should know that.

If you put a gun to my head, I'd say Vikings because that fan base has suffered long enough, but they have no shot, Seattle after that, if they win today, the real NFCCG will be played next week in San Francisco.

I'm a Texans fan. So them.

But all of you "anybody but Baltimore" people are alright in my book.

Fuck Drew Brees. "Oh I didn't know I was working for an anti-LGBT hate group. I just wanted kids to bring bibles to school."
This guy gets it. Drew Brees is a dickhead.

I was going to snarkily say that I’d resumed rooting for the Red Sox and Nationals.

But I see from browsing this thread that the totalitarian cancel-culture mob has come for Drew Brees. So, I’ll be rooting for him.

All those excellent Minnesota teams over the last 40 years and they haven't made the Super Bowl. That nearly boggles the mind. What a hard luck franchise.

The way the Titans are chirping the win, I say they are close to getting off my list. Haven't won crap, beat a wounded Pats team, and acting like it was their SB.

That's a common downfall scenario we've seen many times before. I think they're getting blown out vs Ravens.

I'm rooting for the Vikings in this game, but if Saints win that's who I'm pulling for.

Don't mind the Titans either, but don't see them beating Ravens unless Henry helps them keep the ball for like 40 minutes.

Teams with fan bases who have been waiting the longest/forever for their team’s history for a title appeal to my inner 1980s Red Sox fan. So, Vikings, Texans, Titans, and Chiefs are all fine by me. Super Bowl 4 was long enough ago. If none of them, 49ers would be acceptable.

Fuck the Ravens, as much as I appreciate how impressive a job Harbaugh has done constructing the offense to help Jackson succeed.

That makes today's loss that much sweeter.

Thanks, hun.

The Celtics.

But if I have to pick, the Vikings. I briefly lived in a suburb of the twin cities, and the people were awesome. That fanbase has suffered enough, and i like how they play.

as much as I like their play and look forward to their matchups this year and In the years to come, I want Lamar and Mahomes to win as few rings as possible, in (shamefully petty) deference to the GOAT. With that agenda in mind, my preferred winners in order...

1) SF (Jimmy G love with a downside of Kittle envy, Deebo envy and general organizational success)
2) Titans (love Vrabel, though less enthused after the rumored postgame mocking)
3) Minnesota (Cousins has no shot at entering the goat argument, plus it would likely bother Aaron Rodgers)
4) Texans (Billy O love, Romeo, a soft spot for Hopkins and his blind, bleached mom)
5) Packers (Don’t want Rodgers to get another ring, but not as much as I don’t want...the next guy)
6) Seahawks (Wilson is way more likable than Rodgers, but I want to keep him with just the one...and the almost-ring)
7) Chiefs (any chance to lower the number of rings Mahomes will win is good with me)
8) Ravens (see above, plus fuck the ravens for that stupid team photo after beating the Pats. Let THAT be their super bowl)

I'm sure Vrabel vividly remembers his old coach showing the team the planned Philly parade route the day before SB 39. Something tells me he probably played that hype video for his team before they went out there.

I feel like those concerned about SF getting to 6 aren’t taking the Steeler fans into account.

This is a man who knows how to hate. Welcome, Kylo.

It’s cheap and easy to hate by just wishing others ill.

But real hate, pure hate, is being willing to suffer a little so that others may suffer a lot.

Bravo.

Not sure how one can not want Mahomes or Jackson to win out of deference to the GOAT (Brady) but be rooting for Jimmy G. Doesn’t Jimmy G winning slightly take a away from Brady (at least as much as Mahomes and/or Jackson winning does)?

edit - that was a legitimate question, as I am curious.

Eh. I don’t care if Jimmy G wins one, I don’t believe he’s going to win enough to be the GOAT, and he’s a good guy who, by chance, had his moments of celebration blown up by Brady looking for Josh and Edelman yelling to get off the field ‘cause “IT ISN’T OVER!”

Maybe if we were the only team who had 6, or we had been holding that figure for a long time I’d feel differently. But the fact that 6 means so much to a team whose fan base is the reject pile at a dildo factory is just so much stronger an incentive.

I don’t get the Chiefs support. I like Mahomes and I like the city itself, but a franchise that employs Tyreke Hill shouldn’t be awarded. And Andy Reid has a history with players involved in domestic violence. Yeah, he’s been around a long time, but so what?

First, let me say that how confident you are that 90% of athletes use peds, I’m pretty sure most franchises have someone with a domestic abuse case...some are just better about covering it up. Beyond that I honestly don’t know of Reid and his history there. Beyond beyond that I think I watched about a half of a non - Pats game this year, probably similar last year and couldn’t even tell you what game it was. That’s no kind of admonition it’s simply a lack of interest anymore in sports in general. I don’t even think I watched a Sox game this year. I just have more important shit in life at this point and sports have fallen off the radar, outside of golf. Weird, I know.

I’d pick the Chiefs because I think their fan base deserves it. I hate the Ravens and Seahawks, everyone else I could two shits about. To each their own.

You are pretty sure most franchises have a domestic abuser? Solid reasoning to justify rooting for the Chiefs and Tyreek Hill.

I look forward to your thoughts on the Yankees and Chapman and German going forward.
