Interesting game. Arsenal attacking Neco Williams as expected and then putting 9 behind the ball when Liverpool attacks.

And yeah, not crazy about either kit. The fake maroon marble shirts will set up the David Luiz joke later on.

Arsenal have really looked dangerous on the counter. Putting like 22 behind the ball out of possession. Liverpool with zero ingenuity in the midfield at the moment. Could really use Keita or Jones.

Arsenal looks completely exhausted. Well my stream just died, so I will predict Liverpool are going to win this 3-1.

Once again I underestimate Arteta's Arsenal.
The only one who cares about the Community Shield is Jose Mourinho, but any time you can beat the champions, it's great.

The difference between this Arsenal squad and the one Liverpool played at Anfield about a year ago is night and day. Can't say enough for the confidence Arteta seems to have instilled in them to play out from the back - Emery tried to get them to do the same thing but they would easily get swarmed, now it seems like even before a defender or midfielder gets the ball, they know their passing options.

he definitely has them playing as a team for longer stretches. I think the main problem he has is a lack of talent in midfield to string things together... that and healthy defenders for the most part.. if he can get a couple creative mids and keep the defense solid I think they'll surprise teams next year. Arsenal winning the FA cup an Auba staying are both huge for their future.

edit: I should say more of 'creative passing talent' in midfield. The lack of service really hurts them at times. I'm not sure what the plan was/is with Ozil, but it seems at least at some point he should have played after the break if not just to try and sell him for a better price.
