I’ve never been so happy to see OT in a game where I have no rooting interest just for sheer entertainment value

BTW this game thread is fantastic

He might have thought it was 2nd down, but he said that as they were coming to the line on 3rd.
Yes...didn't he say "I would've...." To me that means he meant he would've done that the previous play. Whatever. It worked out of Bills.

Let's talk about Josh Allen wildly chucking the ball up like it was the last play of the game again.

And it worked, kinda! This game.

That was pretty comical listening to the broadcasters during the replay review. Of course you send the FG unit out there to be ready and then have someone take the snap and spike it if it's 1st down.

Wouldn't surprise me that nfl rules are so dumb this is true. By immediately blowing the play dead while the bills weren't anywhere near the line the ref saved them the 10 seconds it would have taken them to spike it.
True, but in their defense McDermott knew the situation. He was ready to spike or kick immediately and it was confusion whether or not it was a first down that caused confusion. He was asking the down judge whether it was a first down. If it had been an obvious first down they would have spiked pretty quickly. He knew what was up.

Gotta like Houston in OT. Allen looks like he’s dehydrating through his asshole right now.

What happens if they get through 2Q? Do they do another halftime?

Are we playing with the official NFL rules, or are we playing with the Patriots version where Buffalo should get a shot, even if Texas scores an opening TD?
