I don't understand the argument that Stewart didn't deserve more games than LeBron. Stewart repeatedly tried to start a melee -- that's the sort of escalation that these penalties are precisely designed to punish (and to avert). A game for the elbow LeBron threw recklessly (leaving aside intent) seems right to me. 2 games for Stewart losing control and running around like a nut at a WWE match strikes me as a touch light, especially as Stewart now has a track record over his short career of losing control.
Yea, initially felt bad for Stewart. He may have received LeBron's elbow to the mouth and fist to the eye leading to 5 stitches.
BUT he went pure loco and ran over numerous innocent individuals.

2 games for that is very light.

As a Celtic fan, I want to see Stewart taking on the entire Fakers roster, but the league should get ahead of that December game at the Crypto Palace. Suspend both players for that one game

And if things go poorly for the Celtics this year, you can bet one of the main things people will point to will be Kemba's absence. Fournier not exactly lighting it up either, and despite scoring 26 last night he's averaging just 10 ppg over his last 10 games, shooting 40.9% from the floor and 34% from 3, with his usual subpar defense and no rebounds or assists to speak of.

Here it is folks! 20-30 years from now when your Grandkids say, “Hey (insert SoSH name), why did the NBA ever eliminate the take foul? It was such an intricate part of the game and the NBA hasn’t been the same since”………you can tell them THIS was the play which sealed the fate of the take foul.

Watch live then forward to about :45 mark

5 straight for the Wolves. Edwards is really emerging and Beasley is returning to form. Now 9-9. I thought they'd start winning this year. I think we'll all be waking up from any KAT naps soon. Dream is over.

Atlanta has won 6 straight after a bad start too.

Suns now have the quietest 14 game winning streak in the NBA.

GS was down pretty big at one point but now only trail 3. They'll stay a game ahead with a win.

It's crazy having either a 16-2 team and 15-3 team or two 15-3 teams.

They still don’t have a win over a team more than one game over .500 this season. So say their schedule has been cupcakes is an insult to the Ding Dongs and Yodels of the world.

Over .500 at the time they played them? They've beat the Nuggets once, Portland once and Dallas twice. They've also beaten .500ish teams in the Lakers and Memphis once, the Cavs twice. They've also beaten Atlanta and Minnesota who are now .500.

They have one of the easiest schedules but the one team better than them has had an even easier one, or at least just as easy.

Nah, the Warriors' schedule has been significantly less easy, and (perhaps more importantly) they've crushed the Suns by net rating: +12.9 to +6.4, and that's before tonight's Warriors +20 and Suns +5.

The two have a home and home next week, which should be fun.

Agree to disagree on the schedule but they are definitely putting more of a beat down on their opponents.

Pretty big swing in tonight's game too. I'll have to check but close to 40.

edit: Quick look says 33. Longer look says 39.

When they played them. On top of that they beat Dallas twice without Doncic either time and Denver without Jokic……so even the .500 teams they beat weren’t even fielding .500 rosters. No word on whether the Rockets, Pelicans, Spurs, Rockets again and the Kings were at full strength during those wins.

Having said that, you are correct in that the Warriors may have played an even easier schedule. Wow, these two are going to get hit hard later this year when that catches up to them.

ESPN's relative percentage index has the Warriors' SOS at .482 and the Suns at .455 before tonight's games: There could be variations in how that's calculated, tho (for example, do you count your opponents' strength of schedule, etc.) I think the Ws have had some pretty good luck in terms of opponents missing players (e.g. no Embiid or Harris tonight) But I'm not sure the Suns have not.

Suns have too. Some if its just because the Southwest division has 3 guaranteed wins. Chances are you are playing at least 2 of SA, Houston or NO if you are on a road trip.

Does anyone know what the fans said to LeBron? I find that very strange.
Take it for what it’s worth, but someone on Twitter who claimed to be there said they were sarcastically heckling that they hope Bronny doesn’t get in a car accident.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si.com/.amp/nba/2021/11/25/lebron-james-explains-why-he-had-pacers-fans-ejected

"There's a difference between cheering on your home faithful, booing opponents, not wanting your opponents to be successful and there's then moments where it goes outside the line with obscene gestures and words," James said postgame. "That shouldn't be tolerated in our game from nobody."
Basically, harsher words for the fans than for China. He can fuck all the way off.

Well at least they didn’t say helicopter accident.
ED: but yeah I’d be pissed at that too

51 minutes for Westbrook, 49 minutes for LeBron.

LeBron 2/13 from three point land. 40% of his FGA this season are coming from three (not great for a career 34% shooter) and a career low 27% of his FGA are coming from the restricted area.

LBJ is definitely not as automatic getting to the hoop as earlier in his career -- really until as recently as last year. Not sure if that is due to his injury affecting quickness, or just general aging....or some combo. He's launching 3s like he's Steph Curry and, while improved, that's not a formula to rescue their season.

I was just looking through stats trying to find a 3 point shooter the C's could trade for, and noticed Jonas Valanciunas is 23/46 from 3 in 21 games this year. He's shot the 3 some in the past but not with as much volume. He's slowly added the shot to his game the last 5 seasons or so. His average shot distance this year is 8.9, up from 6.1 last year and his career mark of 6.2. His career high was 7.2. 121/320 for his career from 3, .378. His shooting from 10-16 for his career: .427, from 16-3: .418. None of this should be that surprising since he's a 78% career FT shooter but 3 point shooting is the last thing I think of when it comes to Jonas.

He's a FA after this year so I expect him to be traded at some point this season. I'm guessing he was due a big pay cut from his $14 mil but the 3 might change things.

I'm not suggesting to trade for Jonas, He has no role on the C's. I just noticed he's become a reliable 3 point shooter over the last few years and that may keep him from getting the generic Bigman contract.

Also, didn't really find any 3 point shooters outside of Eric Gordon. No thanks.

Suns are at Brooklyn tonight too. Suns 15 game winning streak will be tested tonight. It's probably over soon regardless. Brk/GS/Det/GS. So they'll obviously lose to Detroit.

Don't we have to wait for a larger sample size to declare him a good shooter. Like some arbitrary number like 200 3PA?

Minnesota taking it to Philly, and at least into the 3rd Q KAT is taking it to his arch-foe Embiid.

I'm team T-Wolves and team KAT on this one -- find Embiid's self-satisfied clowning really tiring.

You think that was a gotcha? Why are you always trying to fight people?
He's specifically referring to me wanting a bigger sample size on Romeo Langford and his 3 point shooting, of which I said 200. He also used the same SSS when I mentioned how Gary Tent had as many steals and blocks in less than half the time this year than in Portland last year.

So no, I don't think it. I know it.

The Sixers have gotten a whistle so good to tie this game against MIN that every NBA writer I keep track of on twitter is marveling at it.

Anyway, Suns are up 90-72 after 3 in Brooklyn. Bridges has 7 steals. Nets have 18 TO. That's the difference in the game, really.

Suns are for real: they know how to beat these Nets: play actual defense and have a couple of real stars (Booker and Paul) that have learned to play together
