This is like rooting for weaker opponents against Pats during the dynasty. Rarely works out that way. Go beat the best.
It would still be nice if Chicago came back to win this one. Even if they win the series, forcing HOU to play a game 5 would be ideal.

Well ok, their shit pitching has played the bigger role, but still...
Really killing them this inning....3 out of 4 runners have reached but no runs have scored and there's 2 outs. Way different than a run already in, 2 on and 1 out.

I can't even remember the last time a team facing elimination in an ALCS came back from a 5-1 deficit to tie late in Game 4

This Chi-Hou game has been a boring letdown so far but one fun thing is the Chicago radio crew talking about their game and the other two going on today while mentioning “the winner of this series gets the Red Sox, who already clinched a spot in the ALCS.”

I'm so damn sick of the Astros.
Looks like we'll be playing yet another team that I hate. First two worked out well.

Thanks for participating Chicago. I look forward to hearing all of your dysfunctional issues get leaked over the winter.

Yeah Tony, they're definitely throwing at your guy when they're up 6 in an elimination game. Either get yourself thrown out or get off the field.

Tony was trying to inspire his team, who seemed to be rolling their eyes and uninterested in his endless tirade.

I seem to remember the consensus of the MLBN crew on the trade deadline special being that the White Sox may have paid a high price for Kimbrel, but now they have the best bullpen in baseball.

Jeez, Houston is celebrating like they just won a game on a Wednesday in August.
Act like you've been there before? Five straight years getting to this point makes it old hat for them.

Can't wait for this to be used to criticize the Red Sox for celebrating last night. By Boston-based mediots, of course.

I always felt that way when the Yankees would go nuts after the WC Game or ALDS that it was just ridiculous, especially if it wasn't a pressure filled game/series. Now I'd kill to have the opportunity to criticize how they spray too much champagne.

If they weren’t playing the Sox I’d probably be rooting for this Astros team. They just go about their business like all those Patriots teams did. They know the rest of the country hates them, and they embrace the villain role.

I think the Astros were subdued on the field out of respect for the White Sox. They're having fun and spraying champagne in the clubhouse now.

I'd root for anyone but the Yankees, even the Rays, against the Astros.

For Bregman alone.

It was also a10-1 game on the road from a team expected to win its division and compete for a title. Comparing that response to the energy surrounding a walkoff win at home against a decisive favorite/division rival is foolish.
