I am inclined to agree that this was it for Stotts. Portland isn't in a terrible spot if they can get a new coach/scheme and tweak the roster.

So Portland pretty much has to trade CJ McCollum right? They desperately need a 3 or a 4.
CJ for John Collins? CJ for Sabonis? I honestly can’t find a great match but Portland definitely needs to move on from him

Collins or Sabonis are interesting, but neither really fits next to Nurk so you’d have to move him, too. If LAC gets bounced I wonder if a CJ for PG deal would be on the table? Blazers would have to kick on more I assume, and they are fairly light on assets after moving two 1sts for Covington. They are in a tough spot.
