Nets also won because they got the random god-tier Jeff Green game, which is something you can't always count on.

He has 34 and 12 on 14/22 shooting, and is averaging 31 and 12 in the series on good shooting, they aren't losing this game because of Giannis
Yet he had a big turnover in the final minute here. I dunno, he hasn't gotten over the hump.

Let's see if Durant can will the Nets to another win. He's certainly capable.

Yeah, that's why I'm okay with this Nets win. We now see where Harden is at and already know Kyrie isn't well enough to play. Everything has to go right for this team to win. They don't have a bright future in these playoffs and might still lose this series (although the Bucks are great chokers, so maybe not).

He is getting some shit from other players, like Beal, for that take at least.

I don't know that Beal is giving him shit there, he's laughing at him calling guys out.

Giannis is a wildly overrated defender, and I think a lot of the league's players think that. Bud basically plays him at FS, and he's good at it, but come the post-season FS doesn't work because stars just eat up the guy defending them, if you can't lock down in man you're going to have way less impact, especially if you're also not a center protecting the rim.

No way - that was a great pass
Yeah Middleton was excellent on that possession. Giannis had an easy layup to the game, and he just fumbled it away.

Yes. Despite his relative quickness for his size, Giannis just wouldn't be able to keep up with Durant. Still it's embarrassing if the Bucks don't even try matching Giannis on Durant in games 6 or 7, should Durant go off again.

Yeah, could be.

Giannis isn’t consistently covering Durant one on one (who is?), but, shit, at least try if you are Milwaukee.

Tell me again why I should be rooting for the Bucks in this series? Is it because of the bad coaching, questionable roster construction, or lack of preparation and execution by their star players? Should I applaud the fact that they were gifted a generational talent, put subpar talent around him and bow out of the playoffs early every year?

The problem for the Nets is that they got an all-time game from Durant and the random god-tier game from Green, and it was still tied with 90 seconds left, and they still have to win another one. What happens if Durant wears down a little and Jeff Green turns back into Jeff Green?

I think Tucker does about as good of a job as one can expect when Durant is making those shots. And Giannis was on Joe Harris most of the night, right?

It's simply #AnyoneButTheNets. But I'm not as worried about that anymore.

I don't think anyone (around here) really likes the Bucks, it's just that most really don't like the Nets or Sixers, so the Bucks have been the best chance since the start of the playoffs of a different team reaching the finals from the east.

I'm rooting against the Nets and the Sixers, not for the Bucks. If I thought the Hawks had a snowballs chance of getting to the finals this year I'd be rooting for them, too.

What happens if Harden plays like Harden? There's always ups and downs like these in the playoffs, it's part of what makes it intriguing. The Bucks ability to choke away a game would concern me more if I were a fan.

Harden didn’t just have an off night because of bad shooting or especially good defense. He’s obviously compromised, at least to my eye. He’s not attacking the basket at all, and his shot is probably affected too.

Sure, but also...how many times is the best 3pt shooter in the league going 1-7? Harden is hurt, but I'd guess at some point he'll do better than 0-8 from 3 too. So yeah Green buried 7-8 on mostly wide open 3s, but also Haris and Harden went 1-15 from 3. 3-21 overall... even with Harden dinged have to think that is an outlier.
And the Bucks had Lopez and Connaghton show up. There is a lot of room for improvement for the Nets other players and plenty of opportunity for decline from the Bucks.

Which generational talent? Kris Middleton?

Durant's shown Giannis pretty clearly what an actual generational talent looks like.

I need a word for the stat lines that Giannis puts up...Alibi Points? Whenever you look at his box score, you're like "oh yeah, must have played well, can't blame him." And then you watch the game, and literally everything not captured in the box score is bad (in the playoffs).

Durant kind of sucked in games 3 and 4

Bucks will romp in Game 6. Which gives us a Game 7 with two pretty solid teams desperate to win and choking a bit on the pressure. Best scenario for us fans.

I mean, unless there's some medical reason he couldn't get the vaccine, I have no sympathy here.
