Here
I mean Scherzer put two guys on, his command looked spotty all night, and he was at 94 pitches. I don't think it was that wild of a decision. To me that's not the same kind of early hook that Snell and Eovaldi got.
Didn’t realize he was at 94, makes a lot of sense.

The lack of realtime kzone and radar gun is a distraction. My brain keeps looking for it.
I can live without the K-Zone, but no radar makes it much harder to follow the game vis a vis pitching patterns, imo.

It’ll be really interesting how they handle him this off-season. IIRC, no discounts are allowed in arbitration, so they’re on the hook for $16m if they want him back. They’re also way over the limit.
Yeah it’s hard to figure out what’s going on with him. Guess it’s just a series of injuries and a lost season. He’s only 26. But hard for think of similarly great players having such awful seasons. If they non tender him, am sure he’d get a ton of interest…even in a 1/16M deal I imagine they could trade him but really weird situation.

I think they’ll cut the cord and put it towards keeping Seagar and Scherzer. They have to pay Buehler soon too.

Yelich is sort of doing the same thing at the same time

Is it me or are baseball managers very anonymous these days? Either familiar ex players or total randos like Mike Shildt, Jayce Tingler, and Brian Snitker.

I'm rooting for the Dodgers. Over Cards and hopefully the Giants. it's unfair that it's not 2 out of 3. You should be rewarded for 106 wins. Just my opinion. And the reason I will root for the Dodgers or the Cardinals over the Giants is because I don't want them to tie the Sox for most WS Titles this century. And Mookie who will always be a Red Sox player to me.

I'm fine with the one-game, but the underlying structure needs to change. I always hated interleague with its inherent inequality of competetion, but then they added the unbalanced schedule. And THEN they added the play-in game. Combined, it all absolutely punishes good teams in better divisions.

I'd move to get rid of the unbalanced schedule altogether (19 games against one team is too fucking much) and to set up interleague by prior season records a la the NFL interdivisional schedule as opposed to rotating divisional matchups.
