Cool how a clear ball 4 that was called a strike just changed that entire inning and potentially both teams seasons

What a pathetic effort in this series by the Brewers. 95 win team sure didn't look like it. Yellich K's to end it with the bat on his shoulder. And the hated Tomahawk chop chant lves on for now. Yuck.

So the White Sox and the Brewers dominated their respective divisions for most of the season. The Red Sox squeaked into the play-in game on the final day of the regular season. And the Red Sox have already advanced the farthest.

Baseball is awesome.
The optimal postseason and regular season baseball rosters are completely different.

Let’s say it’s a sox/braves World Series the braves have home field because they won the division? Or is it strictly based off record?

I know it was an elimination game for the Brewers, but isn’t the approach usually not to play for the tie on the road.
I wonder if that old adage is still relevant or if baseball has moved on from that. I genuinely don't know, but I would think that in an elimination game, you do whatever you can to extend the game.

The Devon Williams injury haunted the Brewers

Also, Wong was bunting for base hit. He was turning out of the batter's box as he was sticking the bat out. Stupid all the way around

Six runs in four games against a middling Atlanta pitching staff. That's just pathetic.

The sad thing is that Atl averaged just one more rpg this series. Three runs per game isn't likely to get it done vs the other remaining teams

Well that was a disappointing ending; really liked this Brewers team and was hoping they could advance at least to the NLCS. Happy for Freddie Freeman, who's a fantastic hitter and seems like a good guy generally, but don't have much use for the Braves beyond that.

And it's really sad and puzzling to see how much Christian Yelich has fallen off from his MVP year in 2018 and an equally fine season in '19. He was horrible last year but I just wrote it off to the very unusual circumstances of the short season in a bubble. But he never got back on track this year, with back issues sidelining him for some time. Still has solid on base skills, but his power seems to have completely disappeared. He broke his kneecap at the end of '19; that wasn't supposed to be a serious injury, but he just hasn't been the same player since.
