Oostie may have just won the tourney by 2 inches. What an unbelievable break

Huge putt there by Rahm, that has to swing the odds heavily in his favor

I had Rory and Scheffler against DeChamblees today in daily matches.

It was looking DEAD 7 holes ago. Now Rory is ahead by 4 and Scheff by 5.

What's the record for number of holes the eventual winner (in a major) was in the clubhouse for?

Does that question make sense?
Palmer was tied for 15th place entering the final round in the 1960 open

So assuming they were playing twosomes, he has to sit for at least 7 groups before winning

Looks like it will be the 6th career 2nd place in a major for Louis

Back in 1960, they didn’t use the format we have today. (That started in ‘65.) To be specific, they played 36 on the final day and, since they had to go right back out after finishing the first 18, the pairings weren’t reshuffled so the leaders weren’t necessarily in the last groups.

Which means that there are probably quite a few winners who finished hours before the field, but under the current format Rahm (assuming he wins) is probably among those who finished earliest.
