Yeah, especially where the really hard first putt wasn't bad, then it looked like a 3 putt from like 10 feet
Hard to get a read on the course from the early groups. But it seems like so far the course is hard to score on, but then again a lot of people are floating around even par +/- a stroke so far.
Definitely no one making a move, and I kind of would have expected at least a couple people coming from the +2 through +4 range to find a way up to even par today. Of course that can change pretty quickly in the 13-16 stretch.
I don’t think he looks any more or less hurt than he did early in the week. I think the irons coming up short has more to do with this probably being the first time he has played in cold, blustery conditions in quite a while. He’s not getting a day like this at Medalist.
I agree. I don't think he looks like he's laboring, it's just a cold, miserable day.
The skinny guys, Niemann and Morikawa, are dressed for an alpine skiing event. As a skinny man, I can say I relate.
Every week Morikowa looks to me like someone who forgot to pack and had to go to Dicks on his way to the course
Scottie’s vest routine is interesting. Takes it off for each shot. Doesn’t zip it. Seems like a lot of work for very little gain here, it can’t be keeping him all that warm.

Verne Lundquist doesn't provide anything as a commentator at this point. He simply says the name of the golfer, then there's silence as the player takes the shot, and then he says, "Now to eleven" or some other hole. That's it. I know Verne is a legend, but he's utterly useless at this point.

Tiger’s long game has improved as the week has gone on, but the short game has faded. I would’ve bought the opposite would’ve happened.
Cara Banks just interviewed Tiger after his round on Sky Sports, and he absolutely hobbled away after he was finished - looked like he was in significant pain.

I've done this on windy, wintry days in Scotland a few times - particularly in foursomes matches. Makes a lot of sense to keep the blood flowing, especially if you're spending a lot of time between shots. (The amount of time Scheffler spends between swings in a Masters round is probably the same as I spend in a Winter League alternate-shot match over here...)
Scheffler is going to have to put together a steady round tomorrow to win. This ain't over, which is cool.
Cam is definitely within range. Probably a two-horse race, but if Im can play 18 more holes like he played the back nine today, he could threaten. Scheffler finally started leaking some oil; I'm rooting for him to win, but I suspect he might not sleep so well tonight.
JT has to be kicking himself for only making birdie on one of the 5’s today. At -3 he’d have a puncher’s chance to post something.
Gotta love Faldo telling us how "brave" that shot was. Charl was 7 shots back, 135 yards out from the middle of the fairway.
Faldo was weird. His commentary for Scheffler’s 3rd on 18 after the drop was bizarre.
