Still nothing on 37 or 46. I have to imagine at this point their waiting until they clear salary. Cap Friendly has them at $4.7 million under the cap. Zacha's in arb and his QO was $3 million, so he alone will eat up most of the available cap space. Studnicka is also still unsigned and he's no longer waivers exempt.
Foligno would seem to be the guy they need to move, but I assumee they'll need to attach someting to him to entice a team. He was paid a bonus on 7/13, so his salary this year is less than his cap hit. He also can't be bought out if Zacha gets an arb award because he doesn't meet the $4 million threshold. The only other option that makes sense to me is Craig Smith. He should have some kind of value, though his deal was backloaded so he's owed more cash than his $3.1 million cap hit. There's been Forbort/Reilly chatter but given the way the Bruins value depth at D, I don't see it happening. Especially since they are going into the season with Grz and McAvoy out for an extended period. If they traded one of those guys, say Reilly, they'd be left with Lindholm, Carlo, Forbort, Clifton, Zboril, Ahcan, Carrick as their D until Grz and McAvoy return. I just don't see that happening.
