Of course, one problem is he shoots like 18% from the foul line ... but if he can avoid fouling, I'm liking him more than Kornet.

Doesn't he have a history of knee issues?

Edit: To be clear, I meant Frank Ntilikina, not any Celtics.

Banton got more early game run than the other wingy guys. Don't know if you can read anything in to that but it feels like they like his defense + ball handling as a compliment to what else they have on the floor.

This team is going to have some tough decisions at the bottom of the roster. You wonder if Kornet's contract is the only think keeping him here

He’s really the only blemish on what was otherwise an excellent preseason. He looked awful pretty much every time he saw the floor.
I was just thinking the same thing. He hasn't had a great preseason - looked noticeably slow and already wasn't the most athletic guy on the team.
Just looking it up now, didn't realize his deal is non guaranteed, maybe he's not that safe

I would not be feeling great about not seeing the floor tonight if I was Luke Kornet. I assume he makes the team but Queta seems to be rapidly ascending toward that third center spot.

Fuck, next Wednesday can’t come soon enough.

60 wins is absolutely on the table, and that’s super rare now.

I mean 60 wins while being able to be cautious with guys, since they’re extremely deep with actual nba players.

My favorite stat:

31% from 3 and still win by 28
+6 offensive rebounds and 9 fewer turnovers will do that. Plus Charlotte shot 4-28 from 3.

After a hot start PP is 7-25 from 3 the last 3 games. Part of the reason he got buried last year was he just didn't make enough shots when he got the opportunity. To me he's got to be a 40% guy to be effective. 8 assists is nice though, it does seem his playmaking has ticked up.

I'd also say it's telling that Queta did the post game interview. I don't think the team would have him do it unless he was an absolute lock to make the roster

I was thinking about this listening to him pregame. He's got the perfect voice for nationally televised games, but I like more personality from the local broadcasts
He’s got the generic Syracuse voice. NBCSB swung and missed on this one. Should’ve been Grande
I think he’s pretty good. He will gain some personality once this becomes his team.

Grande would have been a mistake. He’s great on radio because he doesn’t stop talking. He’s too much for TV. Broadcasts with him and Scal just become a podcast after 5 minutes.

I agree, this was my first game with him and he grew on me. I like how he doesn't let Scal get away with his BS. Scal needs someone to keep him in check, he says shit, especially to Abby, that kinda makes me want to smack him

I know it’s preseason but is anyone missing Marcus Smart at all? Holliday is a much better player and a Holliday/White backcourt looks like it’s going to be one of the best in the league.

Is Zinger the second best player on the team?
He's probably the 4th best player, but I know that if one of Tatum/Brown/Holiday has the ball, Porzingis is absolutely the guy I want going to set the screen to start the play. He has excellent synergy on pick and rolls with everyone, it's instant effective offense.
