Turner ambulanced to hospital

my personal semi-informed speculation is it’s to the Trauma Center at Gulf Coast MC

Miami (oh, Miami!)
Listening to these guys try to talk about injuries really exposes their lack of depth. Flemming wants to discuss when Turner can come back and contribute.

Castig would have at least mentioned Paul Blair, who was never the same as a hitter after getting beaned in 1970. These guys are just floundering.

On TV, Middlebrooks and Monaco are doing an excellent job, in my opinion.
Meanwhile, the Sox pitcher Gudino, with his lovely 7.something ERA, finally got an out with two on in the ninth.

Norwith Gudino is a top tier name.
He gave up a rocket for a single to the leadoff hitter, then allowed a weak dribbler for an infield "hit". Then got the next 3 to end it.

All I see is a guy with a 0.00 ERA in 4.1 innings pitched with the Red Sox, 7 K's, 1 BB.
The 7.something I saw on the NESN screen when he began the inning. I'm way too lazy to have looked that up. Sorry if it was wrong. Perhaps it referred to last year?

I was just joking. He's been pretty terrible in the minors the last few years. Hopefully he has found something & can be a depth option. Was just pointing out that his Spring Training stats are pretty good so far, but obviously in a tiny sample size.

IIRC, they said night game during the game yesterday. ESPN confirms....6:05. (Unless there's a split-squad thing happening that I'm missing).

oops, yeah, apologies, thanks. Weird to have a lineup so early, usually it's like 3 hours.

Casas with a nice pick of a Hamilton low throw to complete a DP in the second inning.

Houck with 2 scoreless in 18 pitches.

Did Houck get unnerved by having the second timer violation called on him? Anyway, threw a cookie to Kevin Pillar, of all people, who hit a 2-run HR.

Mid-season form for nesn missing the Casas single.

I can understand why people were perturbed by his napping in the clubhouse. Dude is tree trunk sized.

Hamilton's speed looks like a real weapon. Interesting to note that Hunter Renfroe is now on his fifth team in five years and is only on a one-year $12mil contract which seems pretty remarkable for a guy who's hit 60 HR over the last two seasons.

I don't see any difference in Dalbec's approach. Swing and miss, takes strike 2, swings at a pitch away.

It's time to send him to ChavisLand.

Mata might have gotten through that entire inning in 40.
Wow. You really can't just "switch to that other game for a couple of minutes" without missing stuff.
Last year...
Inning over...oh, that scene from that movie I love....oh shit, forgot, back to the game...."and it's 2 and 1 on the leadoff hitter...."

I wonder what sort of absolute nonsense bullshit a malevolent tweeter could get TC to repeat on air.

If he can be close to the .338 or so OBP he put up in AA last year, I honestly think he is a very valuable player, and would be spectacular to slot into the 9 slot.
