Colombian pitcher Cuevas was described as being part of the 2018 Sox. Really hard to believe, with an over 7. ERA for that year. My mind is a sieve, I guess, but I don't remember him, at all.

I didn't recall him either. Nine appearances, seven in September and he hasn't pitched in the Majors since. He also pitched in three games for the Sox in '16.
This is how bored I am today (between novels): I actually clapped hard when the Brits tied up the game in the bottom of the fourth against Colombia.
It’s a big game for the US hopes of advancing, a GBR win would mean if the US wins their last two, they advance.
As I type, GBR goes up 5-3!
I found Martinez's mention and the camera's showing of the scouts watching the game very interesting. I don't really expect the Brits to win.
I have not watched a single pitch of this until today, and it was the pitch to Harry Ford that just got crunched to left.

I didn’t notice but I feel like it’s a few decades since I’ve listened to Costas much.
The guys need to be able to button and unbutton their jerseys. The reason for their looking cheap is that GBR has almost zero funding.

I have liked him in this WBC (and on mlbn) until tonight. But that was ridiculous. I had to mute, so I don't know if he's kept it up.
The Yankees have almost no one in the WBC but the awesomely named Indigo Diaz just pitched 1 2/3 scoreless in mopup duty for Canada, striking out Betts and Tim Anderson. Diaz is one of the two prospects NY got back from ATL for Luetge this winter, 24 and in AA last year.

Not really. It would be nice if the Sox marathon unis were as good as Columbia's.
That's a shame about Freeman. Canada is up 5-0 now. It would take a great effort to lose the game in the bottom of the ninth, but Colombia has the lead-off man on.
