Hadn’t noticed anything close to that bad,Has this ump been this bad all game?
That's why I liked it so much. Defy expectations!A 19th round pick homering off the best closer in baseball.
Baseball.
It was ridiculous, but that ump has had a huge zone all game, although usually on the sides.3 runs away from really mattering, but what a joke of a call to end a game on.

I've been sold since he was in AA; his consistency of hard contact is incredible. Watching his highlights even then it was remarkable to see him hit those hard drives to the outfield seemingly every at bat. Just an absolute extra base machine. Given health and a full season next year and I think he puts up 35+ HRs in the heart of that Tigers lineup.Kerry Carpenter is a beast. I am a huge fan.
It just occurred to me that because they get the shaft on every single start time, the next time I actually get to watch this series is going to be maybe the 7th inning of Game #4.Game 1, Saturday: Tigers at Guardians, Progressive Field, 1:08 p.m. TBS
Game 2, Monday: Tigers at Guardians, Progressive Field, 4:08 p.m. TBS
Game 3, Wednesday, Oct. 9: Guardians at Tigers, Comerica Park, 3:08 p.m., TBS
*Game 4, Thursday, Oct. 10: Guardians at Tigers, Comerica Park, 6:08 p.m., TBS
*Game 5, Saturday, Oct. 12: Tigers at Guardians, Progressive Field, 4:38 p.m., TBS
*if necessary

Yah, you could have just quoted the #2 post in this thread, which already explained that and was posted by me. Doesn't mean I have to like it. Also, they don't even need to be up against New York and LA teams, Cleveland gets this treatment every single #@$*ing time unless they're playing the Yankees or Red Sox.Cleveland and Detroit media markets and relative lack of casual fan star power on the teams are irrelevant when you compare to NYC/Philly/Socal is why
They were never going to demote Yankees, Mets/Phillies or the Dodgers
You can switch allegiances from the Guardians to the Red Sox or something. As it stands the Gurdians are probably the least relevant media market in the AL eastern time zone (I guess you have to hope the other ALDS series is Rays Tigers or something) so yeah you’re right, they’ll get this treatment almost every time.Yah, you could have just quoted the #2 post in this thread, which already explained that and was posted by me. And already out of the game after that!Guardians help the young Tiggers pitcher by making 3 outs in 6 pitches.
It's huge. Can't have that in the playoffs.Wide strike zone, both sides.
Yes. These games seem both over and under managed. On the one hand, there's lot of switching up of pitchers and switch hitters. On the other hand, there don't seem to be as many challenges as one would expect.I'd have challenged that sac fly and thrown to third, felt like Rogers left too early on the tag up.
bWAR vehemently agrees with your eyesKwan is so good. He is one of the best players in baseball both offensively and defensively, my untrained eye has decided. Don't know his numbers, but he's fun to watch.
