Outscored 15-0 last 3:21 after going up 88-81.

This is one fine collection of absolute losers.

IME has been playing Horford too many minutes this year...the recent tail off is noticeable
Bingo. This is why people couldn’t understand why the fuck Udoka was having him play minutes in blow outs and not monitoring him at all. Those minutes are precious

“Let’s see where this team is after 20 games”

10-10

Just blew a game to a 4-13 team with like 1 guy you need to worry about.

I’m not sure if this is a great roster but I am pretty damn sure that Udoka is not going to maximize it

C's had a pretty good run with Kanter in there. Not that he was great (missed some easy ones under the hoop) but he seemed to be setting a lot of good screens and opening up things for other players. When he went out I just thought it was messing with karma. Tough loss after spending all that energy to come back from 24 down.

Tatum seems to like Kanter screens

I thought for sure at 88-81 they had it but just a brutal 4th quarter collapse.
Just for fun, I went backed and watched the possessions after MS put the Cs up 88-81.
  • Al had open top of the key jumper that was short
  • JT drove into 3 defenders and missed a bank shot
  • MS went PnR with Al and tried to feed Al the ball; it was deflected and ended up with a jump ball, which Marcus did not win.
  • the only possession which featured multiple passes; JT drives, kicks to DS, who kicks it to JB, who drives and takes a wild shot and missed with 5-6 seconds on the shot clock.
  • After a TO, they get the ball to JT who tries a 10 feet one foot fadeaway and is short.
  • JB missed a three.
Not much ball movement and no player movement. I wonder if they are ever going to get tired of losing games like this or whether they are saying that it's just that shots aren't falling.

"Just for fun, I went backed and watched the possessions after MS put the Cs up 88-81."

WBCD-you have a warped sense of humor. I was going to jump into those icy waters and watch the final 3 minutes, but didn't have the stomach for the pain.

Although I remember Al's shot that front-rimmed the hoop, and thought, he's played tired all night.
But I'm not going to blame Al, he's tries and has been their most consistent player this year.

But the thing that got me early on in that game, when they were digging their nightly hole, was the 1st qtr non-movement of the Celts on offense. It was if the 4 non-ball guys ran to spots on the perimeter and were bolted there waiting for a pass. It was run over and over again. And maybe I wouldn't be bitching if they hit corner 3s at better than .333, but they haven't been. And maybe they will, but the 3 point shooting so far has been absymal, and I don't know what the fix is.

I like DS, and he's played well, but I think the Celts need a real deal pass first PG and Coach U has to get these guys and the ball moving and creating more than 1 on 5 offense. If the 3s aren't going in, attack the basket and be aggressive, but perimeter ball is failing this team when they only make .1 of 3 3s.

I did it while the stench of the game was still heavy so it wasn't as bad as going back the next day.

Just terrible terrible basketball.

If I'm a coach, I'm taking a deep dive into those plays. Offense like that isn't going to win games on a regular basis. I hope the guys understand that.
