Will stay in 4th most likely but should gain ground on 5th place Philly if Philly loses to Washington (4-3 Caps late)

B's being in fourth isn't such a big deal given that the teams ahead of them have played more games and are just barely ahead of them.

Unless the wheels come off, they're making the playoffs.
They are still the favorite to win the division by most models I've seen. Dom's has them at 92% to make the playoffs and 37% to win the division. A lot of that is despite recent struggles they have a track record of being a very strong team,. Also, 15 of the remaining 32 games are against Buffalo, NYR, NJD (though NJD has been a problem for us).The Islanders have already played the Sabres 6 times so they theoretically have a tougher remaining schedule.

I didn't realize that they're still favored, cshea. Thanks, and good to know.

I know in most years home ice advantage isn't such a big deal, but if fans come back in decent numbers in time for this year's playoffs, I wonder whether home teams will get a bigger lift than normal.
