I feel like if they had to win this game they would. It's not like 20 guys all of a sudden forgot how to play hockey.

One could argue that the Bruins are TOO good. What I mean by that is that I'm sure they are aware that they are so good that they can coast against inferior team and come back to win -- which is more or less true. My worry is that it can become a habit which can be hard to get rid of -- a kind of hockey depression so to speak. Don't think that will impact the playoffs but it could. Then you are out before you know it.

Whether consciously or not, they’re treating this like it’s preseason. Everyone just trying to get a skate in, nobody get hurt. Whether they lose the last 17 games, or win them, it’s not going to matter cone game 1 of the playoffs.

They haven't done this all year. I doubt all of a sudden it's in their heads. They're just playing like crap. Better now than the playoffs, I guess.

I agree, but I think it might be because this is the last real road trip of the season, only once do they play two road games in a row after this. Going 2-2 or even 1-3 won't matter. I think I'd them taking this trip easy is better than trying to rest important guys in the last 10-12 games

Agreed, and I'd rather they avoid even a single major injury than win. I don't give two shits about the regular season point record.

Forbort still handles the puck like a grenade. That’s a problem. Teams are going to be dumping it into his corner every time he’s out there in the playoffs.

So, as good as orlov has been, is the "new d-partner every night" stretch leading to any of the sloppiness/sluggishness?
