NESN may need to rename the sox in 2 show
They play again tomorrow. It's a 4 game seriesImpressive sweep just after we thought this team was dead!
Totally forgot tomorrow is an 11:00 game. Well we are still going to sweep them! They play again tomorrow. It's a 4 game series
It's also a great display of moving the goalposts. Coming into this series, the Angels were "a first place team."Also only one really bad team
Still goose bumpsDAVID ORTIZ!
DAVID ORTIZ!!
DAVID ORTIZ!!!
I could see them moving to 20s next season. Keep 17 in the minors.I love pitch clock?
It happened to be post #34 in the thread, which was a nice touch.Still goose bumps
Shades of 2018 (haven't played anybody good yet). But, there are big differences between the two year's teams.Of course we have only played ONE really good team so far and we know what happened there. We'll see where we are at the end of the month.
He has a career 1.002 OPS, so that actually puts the Sox in the top tier of teams in terms handling him, with the exception of a few NL teams he's hardly faced.Well, I will be damned.
I think a flat 20, same with and without runners on, is probably the sweet spot. It's simple, it's enough time to take a few deep breaths, and there's enough time for drama to build without anything dragging.I could see them moving to 20s next season. Keep 17 in the minors.
I swear I looked a few years ago and his OPS against the Sox was in the high 700s, but seems like I misremembered. But yeah, he’s not bad.He has a career 1.002 OPS, so that actually puts the Sox in the top tier of teams in terms handling him, with the exception of a few NL teams he's hardly faced.
He's a pretty good player.
Another interesting stat for Trout. Today was the first time (in eight tries) that he has been put out by the Red Sox in the ninth inning. He was 5 for 5 with a walk and an HBP prior to Brasier getting him to chase. The pitchers who couldn't get him out in the final inning: Hansel Robles, Matt Barnes, Brandon Workman, Brad Ziegler, Craig Kimbrel, and Alfredo Aceves (x2).I swear I looked a few years ago and his OPS against the Sox was in the high 700s, but seems like I misremembered. I think the Sox YouTube Channel uploaded itI am playing the game on mlb tv but it does not look like it covers the pre-game and the ceremony.
Yeah it does not.
Does anyone know a way to stream/watch it?
Why? What are we losing by watching guys stand outside the batter's box for an extra 5 seconds per pitch?I think a flat 20, same with and without runners on, is probably the sweet spot. You are a gentleman and a scholar. Many thanks.I think the Sox YouTube Channel uploaded it
Was Kimbrel the walk or the HBP?Another interesting stat for Trout. Today was the first time (in eight tries) that he has been put out by the Red Sox in the ninth inning. About 17 minutes of our lives per game. Why? What are we losing by watching guys stand outside the batter's box for an extra 5 seconds per pitch?

Oh god. I had managed to forget that Aceves ever existed.Another interesting stat for Trout. Today was the first time (in eight tries) that he has been put out by the Red Sox in the ninth inning. 3 seconds. Why? What are we losing by watching guys stand outside the batter's box for an extra 5 seconds per pitch?
I also panicked when they showed Bleier in the pen in the 7th.Ort in the 8th, Brasier in the 9th!
Cora tried to break SOSH (and me personally) with that usage but it worked, I am pleased to see. Congrats to Cora, Ort and Brasier!
He was unbelievable that one year (2011?), and then…not. He seemed a bit…unhinged. Sox certainly had some characters as relievers for a while….Urbina, Aceves, Padilla…Oh god. I had managed to forget that Aceves ever existed.
Can't forget Freddy Krueger himself, Julian Tavarez. He was unbelievable that one year (2011?), and then…not. He seemed a bit…unhinged. Sox certainly had some characters as relievers for a while….Urbina, Aceves, Padilla…
oh god, yeah. Can't forget Freddy Krueger himself, Julian Tavarez.
Kimbrel K’d him to finish a game in 2018. It’s exactly the sort of thing I’d remember.Another interesting stat for Trout.
