It's going to be lit when some of the Portland guys graduate to Worcester.

But for now I guess we'll just shake it off...

At least we'll get to check out 2B Grissom, & Niko Kavadas, our anti-hero.

Why is Niko an anti-hero? No clue, but I still feel pretty good about the shoutout.

Niko was 3-3 with 2 homers, a double, 2 hbp, 4 runs & 4 RBI.

Vaughn Grissom was 1-3 with a double in his planned 5 innings, then Jamie Westbrook came in & went 2-2 with a homer, a walk & 4 RBI.

Chase Meidroth was 2-4 with a walk & a hbp.

Eddy Alvarez was 1-2 with 3 walks & a steal.

Tyler McDonough was 1-3 with 2 walks.

Tyler Heineman was 1-3 with a walk & a hbp.

Hickey & Sogard were each 1-6 (Sogard added a steal).

He's a lot more on the radar than Yordanny was. I'll go with...Gilberto Batista as this year's Yordanny.

But yeah, I think ERC will be in Greenville soon. Control not so good today.

He also hit a guy, 77 pitches, 43 strikes (55.8%).
Trennor O'Donnell pitched 2 excellent innings (4 strikeouts, no issues), but ran into trouble in his 3rd, allowing 2 runs, 1 earned.

JoJo Ingrassia (the lefty in that Nelly Taylor highlight) came in & pitched a scoreless 8th & 9th. 2 IP, 0 runs, 1 hit, 1 bb, 3 k.

He's now pitched 7.1 innings without allowing an earned run over 4 games with 13 strikeouts.

So, it's kind of looking like Mayer's shoulder was holding him back a little last year, huh? Wowza what a start.
Who could have guessed that the period of time before he suffered a severe shoulder injury would be more predictive than the period of time after he suffered a severe shoulder injury?

Of course... not sure how sustainable a .440 BABIP is.
