right here
I haven’t watched a lot (any) of Buffalo this year but its unfathomable to me that the Hall we’re seeing only had 2 goals. He must have been royally Buffaloed.

Some really tick tacky calls on Bruins players this game. And Buffalo has to murder a guy to get a call.

Scares me everytime a Bruins player stickhandles at the blue Line with a Sabre close by and the Bruins is the last player back...

Between here and everywhere.
It’s kind of amazing the Bruins have done as well as they have with DeBrusk and Coyle doing virtually nothing this year.

If those two ever figure it out, this team could be a wagon.

That was the most pathetic 6-3 I've ever seen. (It also may be the only one I've ever seen.)

California. Duh.
Have to love when an opponent can't find the open guy with twice as many people on the ice.

And even better when they're already 3 men up and decide they need more.

How atrocious the reffing was in this game shouldn’t get lost simply because the Bruins won. I had to watch the Buffalo feed and their announcers were mystified by the calls.

To be fair, that is true now. His rat reputation was more than well earned the first few years of his career. He might not have been Matt Cooke level dangerous, but he was absolutely dirty with the stick work and other extracurriculars.
I am way late to the party on this, but I always felt that, while Marchand's rat reputation was well earned, he was never truly predatory the way some of those other guys are. Most of the dirty shit he pulled was with the stick, or dumb stuff like low hip checks (which, obviously, are awful).

I can't really remember too many times of him going after a dude's head or something like a Cooke or a Tom Wilson. And yet Wilson gets near universal praise from national announcers, while they never hesitate to point out how dirty Marchand is, even though it's been years since he's had a real, true dirty incident.

It's frustrating.

306, row 14
6 points up on the Rangers with 2 games in hand. Within at least 4 points of the Pens, Isles and Caps with 2 games in hand on all 3 teams.

I was in the building for 2004 National Championship game when Denver killed off basically the final 1:30 of the game with Maine on a 6-3. It was mayhem.
Now that you mention it, I remember that. Being from Maine and attending law school in Maine at the time, I was rooting for the Bears.

Way, way back in the day, my uncle was a back-up goalie for Maine. Years later, he'd remember the chants from the crowd at the end of blowouts: "Put the fat kid in!"

Going back a couple of weeks... who'd have thought the Bruins would be 8 points down from the top spot in the league in points? No arrows, but one poster made the comment they aren't one of the top 4 in the league, so there is no point in being a buyer at the deadline. [I thought he was spot on.] 6 points from top 4, with a game in hand on most of the teams in between.

Just weird to see them slowly drifting up the standings... given the way they looked so recently.

Edit: Brackets

This team is one of the top 4 teams in the division. It isn't one of the top 4 teams in the league though, and that should be the threshold for "going for it" given how depleted the system is
You forgot the bold part. The price on Hall was a 1st + before it wasn't. They got Hall, Reilly, and Lazar for a 2nd in a horrible draft, a 3rd in a good draft, and a player that was struggling to stick on the roster. I don't think any of those trades happen without Hall forcing his way here or the B's paying a much higher price.

They look great, undoubtedly. I'm cautiously optimistic, but who would have thought Lazar and Reilly would be the moves to stabilize the team and add depth.

I'm pleasently surprised. I'd like to see them get past the initial adrenaline high, but things look good.

Then again, they play Buffalo a million times from here on in, so who knows.

Just to be clear, I said no arrows - there was absolutely no criticism in my post - I anonymously referenced the part I did for context, not as snark.
