That was a well deserved day off after a brutal stretch of the schedule. Hope they come out refreshed and energized and put together a solid run over the next couple weeks.

Game 27
We had a day off, so we could relax.
(Though the Celtics caused a few heart attacks.)
3 and 3 road trip. The team now begins
defending our home from the Guardians.
13 and 13. We’re stuck in 5th place
yet right in the mix of the wild card race.
It’s not our fault our division’s a beast.
5 playoff spots could come out of the East.
We’re just 2 games back. I’ve got a good vibe.
Let’s defeat Tito and his “former Tribe.”

Pivetta going tonight with some extra rest. I've got an unofficial bet with Chawson that he turns in a good season as he wanted him traded away for a bag of uncooked lima beans. He's (Pivetta) been decent so far, which is really what any reasonable projection for him was offering but I'm betting at some point this season (tonight!!!!) he goes on a stretch like he had last May and June when he brought the team back from dead into illusory competitiveness. But this season that "good Pivetta" stretch last longer... much longer and he claims an unshakable spot for the playoff rotation (PLAYOFFS?!!?!?!) as the no. 3 starter. Be bettah Pivettah! Ya fackin' jackass!

Had a good visit at Dana Farber and, now, at my first game since 2012. Let's Go!

It really is magic going through the gates and seeing the field.

Can someone please teach these assholes to stop giving away runs in the 1st? This is a known issue by now.

I’m so glad I decided to stop tuning in to the first inning on days when I wanna watch the game.

How close was Duran to catching that?
Very. It was catchable but would have been a tough grab to high point the ball at the wall. Needed to be timed perfectly but it was catchable

7 lefties in the lineup.
@Sad Sam Jones is it true that Cleveland doesn't have a lefty reliever on the roster? This ESPN roster says the only LHP on their team is starter Logan Allen:

Yeah, no lefty in the bullpen this weekend, but Karinchak is as good as any lefty specialist in the league. Of course, he's really been doing the Jekyll & Hyde act this year. Sam Hentges is supposed to make one more appearance in AAA this weekend, so they might add a lefty back during their next series with the Yankees.
