FUN FACT: Steamer projected Adam Duvall to put up 0.6 fWAR in his first season with the Red Sox. He's put up 0.6 fWAR in the first three games.

Wasn't there a rumor, reported on this board, that games were going to start at 6:30? I was looking forward to that.
You're correct. It looks like they considered it, but ultimately maintained the 7:10 start after experimenting with 7:30 a couple years ago. My guess is that they want to see the impact of the pitch clock this year before deciding to make further changes.

I alluded to this in one of the other threads about halfway thru ST, but i'll say it again here: now sitting at 2-1, with two of the bottom feeder teams in the league on the schedule next with Pittsburgh and Detroit, the Sox have a chance to come out of the gate very strong which can have a tremendous effect on the clubhouse and the momentum it creates. Factor in the offense looking very good early on, a near comeback and then a walkoff the very next day, than getting Whitlock and then Bello back in the next week to 10 days, things seem to be looking up. This team is already forming an identity. The pitching will get better, there are too many guys with too much pride to not hold up there end of the bargain. (Sale, Kluber, Paxton) Bello has the attitude of an ace, and Whitlock seems like very little rattles him. I'm looking at a pleasant surprise of a fun spring and summer for this crew.

This team was 2 wins away from the World Series 17 and a half months ago. 2022 was merely a bump in the road in returning to finish the job.

Everyone has a part to play. Crawford’s part is mowing down Pirate Pricks…let’s go.

Sox are only the 3rd team since 1901, and first since 1978, to score 9+ runs in each of their first 3 games.

Make that 4.

The Pirates turning into a shit franchise is really sad. Besides the Sox, they were my favorite team as a kid in the 70's as my paternal side of the family are from outside the 'Burgh. I have (somewhere) a Willie Stargell signed baseball. Dave Winfield signed yellow hat with the black stripes. I still love the Sister Sledge tune they adopted back then too!

First series played. First series won.
I like the way this year's begun.
We're kicking ass and taking names.
We scored 9 runs in three straight games.
Tonight the Pirates come to town.
Let's light it up and mow them down.
Crawford's ready! (Not "Carl" - who sucks.)
Extend the streak. Kut down the Bucs.

Outstanding again LR75! I'm waiting for your collected works at the end of this World Series season.

As for the team, only one error (to the O's 5!) is a good way to start with the gloves. WIN.

That would be puzzling for Winfield. I assume it's Dave Parker.

It's particularly sad given that they now play in one of the most beautiful parks in MLB.

I’ve been watching baseball for a little under 20 years now and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a lot more fun when your team wins. So, yeah, win.

I was thinking of maybe seeing Chavis. I didn't realize he was DFA'd last fall. Now with the Nationals.
