Maybe it’ll be a nice wake up game before the playoffs... need to get the Nash Brothers back

Could have played hard in the first 40 minutes and salted this game away early. Deserved this for waiting until the 3rd to show up.

I really wanted to avoid Toronto. Not a great look to lose 3 out of the last 4. They should have won one of these games against Florida.

Whatever, on to the playoffs!

Absolutely. They played hard in March to put themselves close to first place and I’m baffled why they eased up in the last week. Too cocky? Too tired?

Hockey can be so frustrating. Outshoot them by like 25 in the period, but all it takes is one unfortunate bounce off a ref and then a rebound goal for Florida and it completely neutralizes that incredible effort all period long. How many chances did Boston have to score the tying goal? Seemed like a million.

Ugh.....not a good way to end the season. Gotta get their act together before they play Toronto. Gonna be tough.

Ran out of gas. Every other day for months with injuries and a lot of travel is going to take its toll. They also haven’t practiced. It has either been play a game or off day for rest.

The Bruins got outplayed badly by NJ in the 3 head to head meetings. NJ is preferable to Toronto, but they weren’t a great matchup.
They were 3-0 vs New Jersey this season. They were competitive games but I'll take that over playing Toronto.

Crazy schedule combined with injuries. It was going to catch up with them at some point.

Let’s take a breath.

Fourth-best record in the league, two points out of first in the Eastern Conference.

Third-best goal differential in the league, one goal behind Tampa and two behind Winnipeg.

No one predicted that in September.

The playoffs are a new season — it’s a cliche because it’s true. Get some rest, practice and plan, and add Rick Nash and Sean Kuraly. They’ll be ready to go Thursday.

I really hope they’ve been coasting, especially on D. Really really sloppy for quite some time now, even when they were gutting out those points in March.

Just need to take a breath and regroup I guess. Struggling with making the straightforward play and instead have been dicking around. Forwards making too many blind plays at the blue line.

At least they have still been able to score and create chances when they work. Lightning game aside, I’d be a lot more concerned if they’d been listless on that end thought this run. They still know how to get what works for them but haven’t executed or have tried to take too many shortcuts. Three games in four nights, to be fair, is a really raw deal. Would be great if they could somehow snuff out Toronto in 5 or fewer. In retrospect it sucks that TB shit the bed so bad down the stretch up to and including last night. Could have worked in some much needed rest for guys like Marchand/Pasta/Krejci/Krug.

I’m feeling alright. Just fucking hate the Leafs and the patently absurd playoff scenario manufactured by the league.

So now the Bruins get Toronto who they suck against and if they get by them we have the top team in the conference waiting for us in Tampa......... this is not good

I don’t disagree but they were like a 42% Corsi and scoring chance team against NJ, the 3-0 is a bit misleading. They struggled with them for some reason. I’d rather them than the Leafs, just don’t think it was an automatic advancement.

Hopefully rest, practice and the addition of the 2 Nash's and Kuraly will help. This has been a lousy week.

I don't think it would've been an automatic, especially if they play like they did tonight. I just think that they're more talented than New Jersey, and given a playoff level effort, would beat them. I think Toronto is just as talented as them, and if they both play well, it's a coin flip.

After the Bruins early season doldrums they played twice--smoked them 4-1 and lost 4-3.

They'll be fine.

3 days to recoup and recover mentally. The last month seems to have finally taken its toll this week. New season starts Thursday.
