Taylor Hall is pretty good at this hockey thing. And he seems to like it in Boston. So let’s keep a good thing going.

The Bruins play the team from the district tonight in a game that has little purpose.

It does, however, mark the beginning of the end for Washington.

Why? Simply put, Taylor Hall is a cheat code. The Caps have already begun their inevitable descent to a first round exit. They just don’t know it yet.

Tonight’s goals:
1) No (Bruins) Injuries.
2) Score more goals than the other team.

Tonight’s preferred advance team lineup:

DeBrusk-Lazar-Kuhlman
Blidh-Frederic-Wagner
Hughes-Studnicka-Senyshyn
McKegg-Curtis Hall- @TheRealness

Tinordi-Lyle
Wolff-Cliffy Hockey
Zboril-Kampfer

Halak
@Salem's Lot

Tinordi does owe Hathaway for ending his Bruins season a couple games prematurely so hoping to see him exact some revenge in an otherwise meaningless game.

I went with @TheRealness and @Salem's Lot but I am open to hearing more about the skill sets of @kenneycb and @TFP.
Sadly, they couldn’t come to terms with my men’s league team on a trade for this evening. It’s my beer night. The B’s were offering big 3 domestic only, and my captain demanded the local craft IPAs that I usually show up with. So they went with some other schlep from the Wednesday night league.

Wonder whether they'll just turn their net toward the boards and play without a goalie -- keep those guys healthy and fresh.

Right handed stay at home defenseman that's more of a playmaker than a scorer. Solid breakout pass and can eat minutes but don't expect a ton of offense out of me. I won't' be out of position and I will constantly yell at forwards as they find themselves out of position by chasing pucks instead of staying mildly structured. Very good pokecheck.

I am insulted that I’m not considered a big gun.

It looks like Ritchie, Lazar, DeBrusk, Wagner for regulars. By my count they will have to obviously use the guys already on the roster, as well as call up 5 forwards & 3 defenseman to ice a full team.

I imagine the D will be Tinordi, Zboril, Clifton, Kampfer, Moore, and Vaak, with one of the lefties playing the right side.

Did not intend to disparage you and I greatly appreciate the detailed report. The D pairs are well-balanced. Do people, by chance, suggest that you should play wing (like they always did with Matt Hunwick)? You and @TheRealness could have a battle royale for that last spot. And the deal for @Salem's Lot lot has gone sour potentially paving the way for a pylon like @Over Guapo Grande.

Most of all, frankly thrilled to see all of Nifty’s disciples gunning to take the ice and beat the Caps.

That's 16 skaters. You normally dress 18. I think DeBrusk and Wagner are the only 2 regulars that'll be in there?
Zboril is sorta regular.

EDIT: covered above. Also, I dont want to see Swayman in goal with that group. I think he's going to play a critical role at some point along the way. That said, its not a nice thing to do to a vet like Halak, either. So i guess that means Vladar gets the call. Or no goalie and let the group work on their 6-on-5 play.

Put me and TSC on the same line.... I'd pick fights, and let him finish them. He'd be my PJ Stock.

I’m a strict take it wide, skate around the net, and look for someone breaking to the net that will flub my pass.
I can handle that. Better yet, handle the pass by trying to one time it and miss wide by at least foot, maybe even hitting you.

306, row 14
DeBrusk - Lazar - Wagner
Ritchie - McKegg - Senyshyn
Frederic - Studnicka - Steen
Blidh - Hughes - Kuhlman

Zboril - Clifton
Tinordi - Kampfer
Ahcan - Vaakanainen

Swayman

Wagner, Ritchie and Kampfer wearing the A’s

Saw at least Ovi and Wilson are in for the Caps.
