The gran facenda
Tonight will be the debut of James Paxton, who hasn't pitched in the majors since 2021, against Adam Wainwright, who is old and from Georgia, so fuck him. Let's hope that Duran keeps Duraning, that Yoshida's bat meets the ball again, and that Casas puts it together at the plate.
E5 has assured me that he will only post in here pre-game.

Time for another winning streak. Feeling a big homestand coming from Devers.

I do get the feeling that the Cardinals are finally shaking off whatever the shit was going on with them earlier in the season and they're about to start playing waaaay better than their W/L record indicates.

Game 39
Wednesday went well and we banished the Braves.
Kenley continued to rack up the saves.
A trio of youngsters helped us succeed.
“Double Duran" used his bat and his speed.
Casas came through with a massive moonshot.
(Is this a sign he’s about to get hot?)
Bello was brilliant. A stud on the mound.
The kids are alright. (Hope they stick around.)
Back home tonight as the Cardinals arrive,
and thanks to the Celtics staying alive,
it could be a game we’ll be relaxed in.
(Though we’re unsure what we’ll get from Paxton.)
The Sox have looked good. They’re ready to go.
They’re facing their four-time World Series foe.
Let’s be Boston Strong as this one begins
and kick off a weekend of hometown wins.

Rays just lost Rasmussen to the 60 day DL. By July I bet they are out of first place.

I have a hard time believing they’ll stay shitty too but I think we should see this series as them having to play us and not the other way around.

There is an obscene amount of Royals fans walking around. Can’t read a calendar apparently.
I think they’re on our side though

Pulling for Paxton to be Big Game James again. I’m sure he’s pretty excited. Do well my man, do well.

This celebration may be a bit over-the-top for the barely 2-month Red Sox career of Kenley Jansen.
400 career save is kind of a big deal, though. I mean, he hasn't even gotten a dozen here yet, but it's not like he could go back to LA for recognition.

I love his arm action. Not from a mechanical standpoint, just how it kind of flops forward as if it’s just following after his torso.
