Alright, coughed up a bit of a hair hall ball on Saturday. But even with our D game they needed OT to squeak past us. So what, the Bruins are still the better hockey team. I don't think anyone expected a sweep. Turn the page, burn the tape, etc. We've got game 2 on tap tonight. Pressure is on the Caps to hold serve at home. Win tonight, even it up and grab home home ice.

Go B's.

I missed game 1 on TV. Was in the car and listened on the radio, and I have to be honest...when Boston had multiple chances in OT but couldn't convert, and I heard them talk about a four man rush into Boston's zone, I knew it was over. I just had no confidence that Rask was making a play. I didn't see the goal, just heard the call on the radio. Having seen it since...holy cow. Yes it was tipped, but it was tipped *right into his chest*. Then it hit the ice, and Rask knocked it in himself. Just a soft, soft goal.

So I hope we see no more of that kind of stuff tonight or the rest of the series. I want Rask to stone them tonight. He's more than capable of it. If he can't do it, bring in Swayman and give the kid a chance. Sometimes these rookies play out of their minds in situations like this.

Get a win, go back to the Garden tied at 1 game apiece. Get it done.

I weigh myself every Tuesday morning. I'm hoping the B's don't cause me to drink enough to be up this week. Fire Claude, bench Tuukka, win game two.

Washington game planned to take away the rim passes and the Bruins half wall game to disrupt their cycling the puck. They were selling out to get to pucks along the boards. That had the biggest impact on the Bergeron line. There is a lot of ice in the middle that the B's can take advantage of. I think they make the adjustments and exploit the openings in the high slot and back door passes. Keep it simple, 1 or 2 passes and shoot. Through a lot of rubber at the net and they win this one going away. And please, no more turnovers at the blue line.

My prediction is that the Krejci line combines for at least 8 points. Hall won't be denied tonight and playoff Krejci will get him the puck in good positions.

Win this series and we get to have a sold out Garden crowd in time for Rd 2. What a shot in the arm that’d be(no pun intended).
Wasn't it written down somewhere that if they ended the series quickly they would literally get their shots in the arm? (because they'd have time to recover)

I love playoff hockey. That TB/FL game last night was so much fun to watch. No nerves when you're not emotionally attached to the teams. That said, I want to be a wreck at around 16-20 more times this playoff season.
