Embarassing that they even stopped the game to look at that when they didn't call Grant being smacked in the face

Such a weirdly awful last possession by Butler there, not that I’m complaining. Would’ve been nice if Smart could’ve hit that three to finish the half strong.

Ball always finds Marcus Smart with the clock going down.

TATUM, that's when you set up your step back 3, for God's sake.

It’s a real lack of imagination to fridge Hauser this whole series because you’re afraid of his defense or whatever.

We’ve got to sit Marcus at this point. And for God’s sake, can we give Hauser some run?

If Marcus can’t make wide open 3’s then he shouldn’t play.
don’t love Grant dribbling into shots

I thought Joe made some really good adjustments in that half. Put more pressure on Butler, only gave some switches, tried to protect White, let TL cover Jimmy at times.
On offense they ran some stuff with Tatum getting the ball in motion off curls and pin-downs. lot more good 3s coming off drives.
Like his rotations too except too much Brogdon (but some of that is Marcus being garbage too).

Why did Marcus do that last hesitation before taking the three? That was so fucking weird. He was all lined up.

If you put Hauser in you would have every Heat player trying to take him one on one and forcing midrange jumpers. That is his superpower on D. Instead our “good” players are giving a free ride to the paint and open kick outs.

Down by six after shooting like crap is reason for hope. But they have to make shots, including free throws, or it’s going to be over very soon.

I understand the frustration vs Marcus but he was like the best player on the team for stretches of the 1st half of this series. Wide-open above the break 3's just don't go in sometimes.

The passing has looked somewhat crisper and they're getting to the offensive glass without getting annihilated in transition at least.

Really could use guys making their FTs...if they're able to actually earn any.

The Brogdon turnovers were absolute killers.

They got up 25 3's that half, I'd say 18-20 of them were solid looks. Gotta live with that.

Here
Marcus has to be the sacrifice this offseason from the roster perspective. Coach is a separate question.

He’s actually passed up a few shots, looking scared to shoot at times which is probably the first time that has been true since he was in diapers. He tried to really see himself because he has no confidence

Have a feeling that we’ve seen the peak of the fight they’re going to bring and they’re gonna fold like a cheap suit the second things don’t go their way in the second half. It’s gonna get ugly. Smart, Brogdon, and Tatum are awful. Brown can’t get inside and can’t shoot but at least he has made some nice passes.

Smart and Brogdon have been awful. Tatum was really bad before the last couple of minutes when he started to show activity and play good defense.

Caleb Martin, Gabe Vincent and Scott Foster are really killing it for The Heat. Have to tip your cap there

I agree—it’s time. I’m generally a Marcus guy but he’s been awful since game 1
