Just because the Heat are getting some fouls doesn’t mean it’s “refball.” The Tatum block was bad, most of the others have been fouls.
The Tatum call and the Brown block were both ass awful calls. The Grant foul was merely bad

Overall this is what we expected - both teams have gone on runs. Not a huge Reggie fan but he is right - Celtics need to show they can win one of these back-and-forth games.

If that’s Miami’s big punch back, still feel ok going into the second half if only because Tatum is so clearly the best player on the floor it’s not even funny

Jaylen needs to call better help at half and Rob needs some painkillers and we got a great shot.

I don’t care how good Tatum is, that’s a piss poor use of a possession.

meh, a number of neutral basketball people on twitter I follow thought those were 2 straight terrible calls.
Even if they had been right (neither was) it'd still be refball because it would be a complete change in the way they were calling the game in the last 2 minutes. Consistency is the most important thing in NBA officiating.

Moving the Line
To still be up multiple positions with Miami shooting that well from deep, and the C's not great from deep? I'm sorry, I'm encouraged. Defensive pressure has been there. Shame the refs on both ends decided to call a lot at the end, loved the old-school, let 'em play mentality that was there in the first 6-8 minutes.

They really need to clean up the defensive boards. 5 more true shot attempts by Miami.

Also, only 8 assists on 20 made baskets. The ball isn't moving as well as it did in G5.

Another dribble, dribble, dribble, jack up an end-of-quarter three by Tatum. But except for a couple of those, he's been phenomenal.

The Heat three-point shooting is other worldly. This goes beyond selling your soul to Satan. Amazing that the Celtics lead considering the three-point disparity, which is enormous.

Ok, up four at the half. Not bad.

The good:
- Tatum: 25 points and getting to the line
- Brown: 11 points on 5-8 shooting
- Butler: 9 points on 2-10 shooting
- Bam: 5 points on 6 shots

The bad:
- Rob W hurt
- Vincent, Strus, Robinson, Martin: 8-12 from three (66.7%)
- Brown: 3 personal fouls

If the 3pt shooting normalizes this half it's almost impossible we lose. Problem is this stuff can not normalize in one game...

You’re literally on an island with this. I don’t know a single other human being that likes Reggie Miller. He’s a shit stain on the announcing profession
Compared to what? Doris is horrible and all Mark and Jeff do is moan. At least Reggie seems like he is a fan of basketball.

Should the Celtics be happy they're up four when the Heat are going bonkers from three? Or should they be disappointed to only be up four when Bam and Butler are 4-16 for a total of 14 points?

18 point differential from deep and still winning. Law of averages…
Yup, that's what I'm seeing too. Unfortunately the Cs themselves in addition to Houston's best Harden year have had deciding games where the 3-pointers just never fell the entire game. Hope that's not the case here, but if it is keep attacking the rim.

The Brown 'charge' and Tatum foul are inarugably awful calls---that's a 4 point swing, at least. To say there's no refball in that last three minutes is simply not realistic.

On the flip side, if you’re the Celtics and up four when shooting 20% from three you’ve gotta be kinda happy.

I love how these nba analysts, who watch tons of playoff games every year, are always shocked if star players have bad games when theres a lot on the line.
