Right. And the Heat nailed theirs. That’s not variance, that’s one team executing and the other gagging.
I mean I guess? Once the ball gets shot, I am not sure how much thats about executing

I can't believe I have to keep typing this game after game, season after season.

PUSH THE FUCKING PACE. The C's are at their best in the open floor, it doesn't give Miami the chance to set up the zone. It works, The C's forced 7 turnovers, got 16 defensive rebounds, blocked 4 shots, there are opportunities to run, so FUCKING RUN

Seems to me that they’ve been getting more or less the same looks from dee they got in Game 5. Just not making them. I’m not all that up in arms about the defense. Yeah gave up some open looks but held them to 52. I think we would have all signed up for that in a heartbeat before this tipped. 41 on the other end is unfathomable.

The Celtics “open” threes are like one pass catch and shoot looks with a guy in the vicinity. Miami rips off 5 passes or frees someone up with a monster screen. These looks are not the same.

He got minutes earlier in the series and wouldn't shoot it. Pritch is useless on O and a liability on D atop that if he doesn't pull the trigger. He needs to be a 2-3 minute heat check in and out guy, but he plays his time like a starter feeling things out.
so maybe hell pull the trigger tonight. We already saw what we have in brogdon.

Make a spirited charge in the 2nd half. If they bury a bunch of 3’s, whatever, but just give this crowd a chance to make a difference.

The Heat are working to get silly open shots. We’re just heaving the ball as guys close out. It’s not the same. Barkley nailed it. Our O is hot garbage.

Hey it's tough to win 4 straight in any playoff situation. And that hill gets steeper when your best player rolls an ankle on the first play of game 7 and only scores 7 points at halftime. Not impossible to overcome but somebody else will have to step up bigtime.

Fast break points are 12-2.
This is the biggest thing—-Celtics have to push it up. They did it early, but got frustrated and slowed down. They win when they push, and they struggle when they don’t.

IF there’s a reason to play PP, it is that he will push the pace.

He said he can’t stand watching the dumbass Celtics play. That they have no plan and just chuck up threes hoping they’ll win that way.
Basically, the same thing everyone else on the entire planet is seeing except the Boston Celtics.

He got minutes in a 3 guard lineup - that was the problem. He can't play with 2 other guards. He is fine with jaylen/white or jaylen/smart but it can't be white/brogdon/pritch

The Heat/Spo adjusted to the zone breaker guy at the foul line. Both Tatum and Al have done it. But the zone squeezes in, they slap at the ball, and the passes out go to shooters who miss (their defenders are getting out to the three point line faster than ours).

This just isn’t accurate. There were minutes when Brogdon was in where it was possible but talk about hyperbole

Brogdon played 7 minutes, which I believe were mostly all with Grant and they are both -15. How on earth do you play both of them together in a game 7 for that long? The plug should have been pulled on that pretty quickly. Coaching malpractice . I hope Brogdon doesn’t see the court the rest of the game.

And at least a few minutes with no Tatum in that lineup. Tough stuff.

This is the stuff that makes me crazy. They are not playing scared or tentative or whatever. Miami is hitting 3s and Cs are not. In between there have been a few lapses on D and Brogdon just is an anchor on the offense right now.

Can we stop with the flat, scared, tentative nonsense?
Amen. They;re bricking open 3s. That is 75% of the problem. The rest is not getting back on D when they're frustrated.

The first quarter was a bunch of good ball movement leading to wide open threes they missed, now they’re settling.

I don’t think Brodgon was as bad tonight as you guys do—he had an open layup (of course missed it) and while not good on D, wasn’t as bad as other games. Still not sure he can be out there

Grant looked lost—-shocking given what he did vs Milwaukee A year ago

It feels like threes are a confidence thing.
We missed early and haven’t recovered.
Heat hit early and have kept it going.
Hopefully switching sides at half will change things around.
Had a chance to get it to 8 at hand which would’ve given me more confidence.

ya gotta hit some threes in this league as much as people want to say go to the rim. yes, attack the rim and kick it out when they collapse. pounding the ball down low is not a thing for this team
