Look it's good to throw up but not too much. See also throwing low is good and bad too
If you are really good at something they will fear you then you throw the opposite but with all the data you can't alway do that either you have to adjust

He is a really, really bad outfielder.

I happen to really think his bat is overrated, too. Does seems like an awesome clubhouse guy, but I had zero issue with the Sox going a different direction after 2021.
