In his 1,000th game, X has put it all on display, on the field, and as a clubhouse leader. That little gesture towards Devers after taking the walk and pointing back to him following the knock is just one of the dozens of reasons you have to love this kid. Really feel fortunate to have watched him become the player he is.

I kind of miss the days when they wouldn't have the floating "K-zone" over the plate. It used to be fun to debate whether a pitch was a strike, and follow the ump patterns. It annoys me when Remy is like "where was that pitch?!" when it lands on the corner of the K zone box. Kind of just a ramble/rant but I think I enjoyed watching baseball more without the artificial floating box over the plate.

IF they can hold the lead this time to the ninth, Sawamura's gotta close, right? Barnes has been overused.

I mean, they need a representative bat at 1B...a Steve Pearce type. If this team looked hopeless, sure, give Dalbec all season & let him strike out 200 times.

I wish this team would consider a squeeze play every once in awhile when they are near the bottom of the order. That runner on third with none out and not scoring hopefully does not come back to bite them.
