The only time Devers looks like a confident fielder is when he's stuffing a weak grounder in his pocket because he knows any throw of his will be a bad one.

The frustrating part is he's often better on tough plays than routine ones like the one he just threw away.

What a surprise. Detroit about to score again. Either it's walks or errors that kill us.
It is the walks and errors (and bloop singles) that also make the extra-inning-man-on-second adventure a scary one.
I keep thinking we are headed for that - then I realize this game is just excruciatingly slow - and there are still several innings to go.

Getting pretty sick of the Tigers' left fielders looking all kinds of awkward while stealing key hits away.

Miami (oh, Miami!)
If this were a monster movie, the vampire would have been fought back to the lid its own coffin by by our battered heroes. In the scrum, one man manages to get their only stake free of his bag, and tosses it to his companion, Van Dalbec. Who promptly drops it on the floor. Then kicks it out the window as he tries to retrieve it.

Whose idea was it to have the guy who calls balls and strikes stand behind the catcher where he can't fuckin see a thing especially low or away?
