Angel Maita and Antoni Flores each flipped one hit and drew a walk in four appearances; Maita with a double. Gabriel Quintero and Juan Rojas each ripped one hit in three jaunts; Rojas with a double, Quintero with a triple. Danny Diaz delivered a single in four at-bats. Chandler Shepherd started off poorly, surrendering three runs on a walk, a hit by pitch, and three hits in the first; striking out one. Shepherd would give up two more singles in the second before inducing a double play which began his run of ten consecutive batters (and 11 outs) retired; a run which included his second strikeout in his five inning outing. Fernando Rodriguez relinquished two hits and whiffed a quartet in his two scoreless frames. Ty Buttrey threw a dozen pitches in a 1-2-3 eighth, striking out one. Ryan Brasier secured the victory in the ninth, walking one and K-ing a pair.

Ivan De Jesus delivered a single and a leadoff double in the ninth which started the rally in his four jaunts. Adam Lind laced two hits – including a solo long ball in the fourth – before being pinch run for by Aneury Tavarez in the eighth; Tavarez grounded into a force out in the ninth. Tzu-Wei Lin and Mike Ohlman each obtained a single and a double in five trips. Mike Miller managed a double and a walk in four matchups. Oscar Hernandez hit a single and a sacrifice fly in four opportunities. Mike Olt received a free pass in four tries. Rusney Castillo contributed a walk in five ventures. Matt Kent notched seven scoreless innings, giving up five hits and a walk while whiffing a quintet. Adam Lau allowed one hit and struck out a pair in the eighth. Josh Taylor yielded two runs (one earned) on two doubles and a missed-catch two-base error by centerfielder Tate Matheny; tallying only one out in the ninth.

Austin Rei ripped two singles and drew a walk in four appearances. Danny Mars managed a single and two strikeouts in three matchups. Luke Tendler was hit by two pitches and stole a base in four trips. Tate Matheny managed two walks and two stolen bases in four treks. Chad De La Guerra was hit by a pitch in four ventures. Salem rallies with single runs in the final three innings, walk-off winners 3-2 in 10.

Bryan Mata had a very interesting 5 1/3 inning start, yielding one run on a balk, three singles, and six walks while whiffing an octet. Yankory Pimentel allowed an unearned run on a single and a double over 2 2/3 frames. Carolina League All-Star Matt Gorst pitched the final two innings in nearly perfect fashion, intentionally walking a batter in the tenth and striking out one.

Brett Netzer notched four singles in five at-bats. Bobby Dalbec and Ryan Scott each swatted a pair of hits in four sessions; Scott with two doubles. Jerry Downs delivered a single, a walk, and a hit by pitch in four jaunts. Santiago Espinal and Roldani Baldwin each bopped one hit in five excursions; Espinal had a double and scored the winning run (after reaching on a fielder's choice) on Baldwin's game-winning single. Chris Madera dropped a sacrifice bunt in four matchups. Trent Kemp and Tyler Hill had four terrible trips.
