Here
I think the league gave Windy the go ahead on that, after the money signal and press conference. In the least the Mavs organization.

Luka’s done. Instead of taking responsibility for his atrocious defense and poor decision making he blamed the officials and said he doesn’t think he should be allowed to foul out in the Finals. If that’s where his head is at it’s a wrap.

Good for Windhorst for calling out Luka, but in a way, it's not entirely 77's fault. Part of it falls on the NBA itself. For whatever reason, the fact that Luka gets away with repeated and myriad tantrums by the league without getting T'd up or fined on a regular basis contributed to the creation a monstrous, entitled, spoiled brat. Hopefully Luka takes Windy's criticism to heart and gets to work because he's a tremendous talent.

Then don;t foul, big boy. Use your feet and move into position.

I prefer that he ignores it and ears donuts because he’s a hateful asshole.

It’s really wild that a league which used to T up Rasheed Wallace for *looking* at a ref let’s Luka get away with bitching out the refs literally every time he touches the ball.

WTF is Jaylen wearing around his neck lol.
I'm not watching the post game, but he's been wearing this "digital wellness platform" recently.

"Use Hapbee’s patented technology to bio-stream compounds like caffeine & melatonin digitally - without you having to ingest them...Hapbees’ tiny magnetic songs naturally stimulate bio-receptors in cells to recreate the same sensations without the side effects....Over 25 blends are available to help imitate the natural magnetic effects of substances that people use every day to sleep, enhance their mood, get work done and relax. The best part is that as soon after you turn Hapbee off, your body simply stops feeling the blend. No lingering side effects. Nothing left in your body to metabolize or eliminate."

And it was a long contested three.

The guy simply can’t play complementary ball because his ego won’t let him.
It’s kind of wild to watch him, I think a lot of his offense is based around trying to juke his defender so bad that he can coast to an open layup. So he’ll take an open lane and instead of attacking he’ll crossover two more times to get it just a slightly bit more open when more directness would do. But with good defenders all over the floor it’s just not really happening for him. He was really held up by his outside shooting tonight and continued to be not great inside the arc anytime the D provided decent resistance.

Tatum got absolutely SMASHED on a dunk in this game to the degree that Dallas even paused inbounding the ball because they just assumed the foul had been called.
I even thought I heard a whistle but I soon realized it was just my eyes and brain combining to create the sound that my ears should have been hearing in that moment.
I thought so too. My brain filled it in
Video quality's a little off, but it looks like Davis started to call the foul then tried to check his swing. Sounds like he even blew the whistle briefly.

It's not even that Luka didn't get a superstar whistle. He did. He committed about twelve fouls yesterday. That he managed to be so stupid and such a horrific defender to still get six of them called is entirely on him. Dude is a clown, his whole attitude on the court is garbage.

JM said 2 things postgame that jumped out.
1st Q..."we had 1.24326 (i made up the number) expected points when we were missing, so i knew we'd be ok."

4th Q Dallas run..."it was really just 6 possessions where we made the wrong read against the defense. Shots were there."

JM is HAL. "I'm sorry Luka, I can't let you do that."

I made a mental note to myself when Luka picked up a lazy 4th foul semi-defending Pritch near mid court. Almost felt like he just wanted a rest. His lack of focus/urgency and selective effort would be maddening to me if he was on my team.
Same. I kind of raised an eyebrow and said to my son that could be big... he really can't afford to pick up another here.
It ain't over yet, but....I like our chances. :)
Glad you're starting to come around.

Interesting to see when the last time a first team all nba guy fouled out of a finals game

Wilt certainly didn't. But he should have (Grrrr.)
Along with Jerry West's 60-footer in 1970, also seared into my head is the 1972 Finals. Reed had missed much of the season. Knicks won game 1 in LA because they couldn't miss. In a tight game 4, there was a no-call on Wilt (who had 5 fouls) late, continuing his run of NEVER fouling out of an NBA game. Lakers won in OT, went up 3-1, and it was over in 5. 3 Lakers ended up with 5 fouls. West got his ring.

Just giving you a hard time after your "it's not hard to see how the Mavs can win games this series" post.
Ha. Well they still could, good chance of winning last night if Luka wasn't a dummy. But hey, Boston is 3-0 and with all the "coulds" and "mights" in the world, Dallas hasn't beaten Boston yet this year (Boston is 5-0 vs. Dallas) so maybe it's not actually possible! Which, of course, would be more than fine with me.

I mean, Luka was bad defensively in games 1-2; this game though, he was other worldly bad. No amount of offense can make up for his lack of effort and sometimes frustrated recklessness while defending.

He was this bad in Game 2, as well.

Two minute report is out. The only missed calls are: they acknowledge missing D White’s attempted intentional foul on Hardaway’s three, and they missed a foul call, Green fouling Horford when Al dribbled the ball into the front court and then (as they called it at the time) lost it out of bounds.
