Jorge Rodriguez relinquished two runs on three hits and a walk in his one inning start. Johan Martinez yielded two hits and whiffed five over three scoreless frames. Robinson Montero allowed one run on four hits and a walk over his three innings; striking out five. Geraldo Perez was only able to get two outs (one by K) while surrendering four runs on four walks and three wild pitches. Argenis Batista was battered for five runs on one hit, two hit by pitches, five walks, and five wild pitches while picking up two outs, both by way of the K. Alejandro Crisostomo was able to get the final two outs (one strikeout), but allowed three runs on a walk and two hits – including a grand slam from Emilson Rosado.

Nelfy Abreu and Ronaldo Pulgar each punched three hits in five at-bats; Abreu with a double and a hit by pitch, Pulgar with two doubles and a stolen base. Kleiber Rodriguez ripped two singles in five treks. Luis Hernandez had a hit, a walk, and a stolen base in five excursions. Angel Maita mashed a triple and was hit by a pitch in six sessions. Carlos Cortes allowed an unearned run on two walks and a wild pitch in two frames; whiffing one. Luis Colmenares let in five runs on a hit, four walks, a hit by pitch, and a wild pitch over 1 1/3 innings; striking out one. Jose Larez yielded two runs on four hits over the final 2 2/3 frames; also whiffing one.

Lewis Baez bashed two singles in four at-bats before being replaced by Jose Mejias who singled in his only matchup. Ceddanne Rafaela contributed two singles in four trips before being pinch-run for by Luis Mota who had two hitless treks. Gilberto Jimenez golfed a single and a double in five jaunts before being replaced by Ruben Hernandez who struck out his only time up. Brandon Rincones ripped two singles and stole a base in five tries. Denny Daza dropped a single and was hit by a pitch in six attempts. Denyi Reyes delivered seven scoreless innings, relinquishing five hits and striking out five. Enmanuel De Jesus yielded one run on a solo moonshot from Welfrin Mateo; he gave up two other hits and a walk over the final two frames while whiffing a trio.

Victor Acosta victimized the Pelicans with two doubles (and four RBI) and a hit by pitch in four ventures. Lorenzo Cedrola contributed a single and a hit by pitch in four appearances. Frankie Rios reached on a hit by pitch and stole a base in four forays. Pedro Castellanos was hit by a pitch in his only trip after replacing Jagger Rusconi who had a pair of junky jaunts. Kervin Suarez and Everlouis Lozada each had three excruciating excursions. Ryan Fitzgerald, Isaias Lucena, and Jordan Wren each suffered four uninspired ups.

Drive have won eight of nine games in June after winning only 13 (of 52) in the first two months.

I wouldn't be shocked if Shawaryn is up to AAA after short season starts. He's had one terrible outing and even then he lasted 5 innings.

Ty Buttrey has been dominant in Pawtucket- 43 k's in 26.2 innings. Wonder if he gets a look - though they may save him until September since they have a million other options.
