I'm visiting my parents, who are both in the 80s. They slept through most of the game, woke up and watched the Sox win. Meanwhile, I sat through the first dreary seven innings before things got interesting. Should have followed their lead.

That was a crazy couple of games. Total mirror images. It feels a lot better to be the one doing the mirroring, though.

The Red Sox rose from the dead ang gave us three out four against the evil Yankees. I haven't seen a Red Sox team since the late seventies that could excite me and enrage me in the same hour. But that was the bad old days when the ghost of Tom Yawkey still ruled the bosox, and Don Zimmer was the manager. Sometimes, I wonder if the reason George hired Zimmer as a coach when nobody else him was gratitude for his unwitting sabotage of the 77 and 78 Red Sox.

This turnabout, while similiar to yesterday is much more crushing to the MFY given the no hitter and their personal circumstances.

So does this mean from here on out, I can't watch the games live but have to follow along in the game thread with you keeping me updated?

If it means another WS title, I'm in.
We will bear this cross together, friend.

Landed to see a no hitter going.

Could not get into Sosh but did my best jinxing effort with my brother.

Watched the 8th on the Uber with my daughter. Came home in time for the 9th.

Great win to come back home to.

The sarge is always from New Jersey, there is a corn fed strapping kid from Indiana who carries the BAR and a wise cracking guy who's everyone's pal named Sal from Brooklyn.
I wish to hell this site gave us the option to recommend comments. That would get a ton or recs I see you probably grew up watching all those movies that taught us how the US won the war all by ourselves. And Hitler was the Napoleon of his day, wanting to conquer the world. Those movies never talked about geocide though. That was too horrible to discuss. If you were of age to know what was going on at the end of the war, you certainly knew about it. To a boomer like me, I wouldn't have known if I had not availed myself to my father's book collection.

All those cheeseball 50's/60's WWII movies had the stereotypical cast of GI's representing a cross section of America, the comical thing is SPR did the same thing only no one noticed; the tough as nails sergeant, the wise cracking guy from Brooklyn, the gentle soul interpreter who never fired his weapon in anger.................anyway.

WATER!!

Well well. I was unable to watch anything. Yesterday when I last saw the score it was 3-0 Boston and then all of a sudden I see that they lose 4-3 and I’m like WTF. Then today my dad (big Yankee fan) calls from the road asking me if I’m watching the game (I wasn’t) and to tell me German had a no hitter going and the Sox were down 3-0. I check again and they are up 5-4 with two out in the ninth. WTF.

That’s three straight crazy comebacks by both sides. Helluva weekend of baseball. I’ll take 3 out of 4 against NY anytime, baby!
