I trust Schrieber for one inning. If the Sox lose this is the question of the game.
This is the 10th time he's been asked to go more than an inning and the first time he gave up a run, and it was largely not his fault

Granted but Whitlock should be out there not Schrieber. When was the last time Schrieber threw more then 20 pitches in a game?

Whitlock is unavailable for two days (yesterday & tonight) after pitching two innings on Monday, per the manager.

He's thrown more than 20 pitches 7 times and gave up 2 runs, both unearned. It's also common knowledge Whitlock wasn't going to be available tonight.

Fair; sucks that he was used in an 8-3 game on Sunday which leads to him being unavailable on Wed, but I get it.
Yeah, largely just bad timing. Never had a lead in that series, but he hadn't thrown in a week so I'm sure they just wanted to get him some work and then of course they had a close game the next day.
