Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but it seems like Stankiewicz has frequent success early on and runs out of steam (generally before the 7th). I wonder if he has the stuff that would play up as a middle reliever.

I took a quick look at his last ten games and only two of them saw him give up all of his runs in his final inning of work. Of course, they were two of his last three. He has tended to give up many of his runs prior to this current run early in his appearances.

Stank is interesting to look at. With the exception of his first two starts of the year and his spot start in Pawtucket, he has not failed to go at least five innings in every single appearance (which included six consecutive relief appearances of 5+ innings). He has gone at least seven innings in his last six starts.

It's hard to say he is good but he certainly saves the Portland bullpen.
