I still hate Pillar because of his homophobic comments in Toronto although he is growing on me. If he was going to be around more than this year, I might really like him.
On a different note, Pillar provides a good pathway for Thom Brenneman's return. Pillar admitted his mistake and has worked with LGBTQ+ organizations to make amends
