Halak always makes me nervous with his puck handling.

I'm trying to think about something other than that fucking moving pick.

Bruins can't give up on this game. Still way too much time left. Need to shake it off and grind away

Bruins need to keep playing the game they’re playing. The difference is a stupid penalty and a freak play.

Every season the playoffs are ostensibly putting the whistles away and then some ticky tack shit completely out of line with the rest of the game gets called.

And that linesman ought to be fired during intermission.

I mean, some of it is camera angles and not seeing deflections, but it has seemed to me we have been missing a lot of nets with shots from the point the last two games. Could we please make V make some saves. Thanks.

Sorry, checking out. I just don’t have it in me tonight. This league is now and always has been garbage.

Aside from the dumb penalty, resulting goal deflected in by Al Pederson 2.0, and the awful interference by the linesman that cost us a playoff goal, I liked how they skated and how physical they were.

keep grinding, get the puck on the net, and they can win.

I just can’t understand how it’s possible for one team to be so relentlessly fucked in the playoffs like this. Nothing can ever top the slewfoot but JFC, puck in the netting last year, STL moaning their way to a quiet whistle, now this. It’s fucking bullshit.

Why? I mean, it sucks that it happened, but the guy was just trapped in a bad spot. It probably happens once every 800 games, and its shitty luck. The guy didn't do anything wrong.

Yeah. They played better after goal 2 than before goal 1.
But I think they need to stash the "looking for deflection" shot for awhile, and create some chaos in front with shots on goal.

Stay on the boards like everyone in the game from Mites to pros expects you to.

Luck didn’t put him out of position.

Only saw the reply, but wasn’t he a little low in the zone?

Regardless, fuck that guy and fuck Nik Richy. WORTHLESS.

I dunno, I've never really seen a linesman sitting halfway between the blue line and the tops of the circles when the play's on the other side of the red line:

If he's in position, he can hop up on the boards here

edit: to say nothing of the fact that swinging out into the middle of the play is maybe the worst possible decision in panel 2

I’m just convinced that they’re never going to get a fair shake against a team that’s good at working the refs as long as Marchand is on the team.
Every non-Bruins fan I know points to him whenever any bad call goes against the bruins. I think you’re absolutely spot on here. The league is garbage and has decided that the rules and fairness don’t matter, so long as the negative thing happens against the Bruins.

It seems to me like the linesman thought he was going to get pancaked there, so he decided to jump out to save himself.

He was horribly out of position. Can’t have that at this level.
he's a linesman

Thats absurd. He's literally 3 feet inside the blue line on the top picture, skating backwards with two guys heading his way. I know the "tops of the circles" comment was an obvious exaggeration, but come on. He got trapped in a bad spot. If he stayed on the boards, he takes out Gourde. It sucks, but it happens.

Goddamit. PLus the images are damning of the linesman. I'm never played beyond pond hockey (and watch a lot) but the Linesman is never in the middle. Get against the boards
