Wait, are people blaming Richards for that? The White Sox have a very deep lineup. Our infield defense gave them like five or six outs.

True, but they were slamming him. A couple of loud smashed just fouls and he walked two batters. He sucked.
Devers is below mediocre, his fielding is actually hurting the team.

I hate baseball. At least when my Red Sox do this to me. But the Mets are pushing back against the MFY and are down by only one run. I must say as much joy as I get from a Red Sox win, I get even more from a MFY loss.

It’s kind of disappointing that a middle of the pack farm system has provided zero help to this years big league team. Every player called up seems completely overwhelmed.

Like Ben Franklin would have sad, the Red Sox have a lead if they can keep it. He'd probably be a Phillies fan if he were around today, so what does he know.
But the bottom line is we've pissed away a big lead, and there is no single scapegoat here.

A flyout, a walk, a picture perfect double play ball to the left side, an infield hit on a chopper, a walk, a K, a double.

Hardly perfect, but I'm not holding the hard-hit fouls against him.

And who was it who pulled Seabold early? Then left Richard in long after I was obvious he didn't have it?
You really wanted Seabold to face the middle third of the White Sox lineup again, throwing 91?

Two walks. The first one was a killer with a 7-2 lead.

If it were any other sport than baseball, it could happen. But one of the greatest charms of the game is that players have to take their turns, and once you are out of the game, you are out of the game.
Yes. I am aware....

A mediocre joke about the sad state of our pitching staff
