That game was amazing, the crowd was unbelievable. I haven't seen a major league baseball crowd with that much passion and so many young people, people of color, and women in it in a long time, maybe ever. (Basing that just on what ESPN showed. Didn't look like the usual baseball crowd at all, more like a soccer crowd-- only with fans of both teams right next to each other, with lots of standing, banter, jumping around, etc.) Lindor played like he was in a video game. Diaz looked sure to blow it, almost did, but then didn't.

Roger Angell is a big Mets fan, I wish he had one more column in him to write about this series.

TY ROVINE ROMINE, I blame myself. the JINX of putting out into the great Agent Intellect sphere of energy that circles the world in general and all ball parks in particular at a particular fraught and vital time i took my eye off the game and commiserated with an opposing pitcher!! Mea culpa! And I love what Cora said..it did feel like the play offs this cobbled and recovering team fighting against adversity and working hard to maintain consistency of GOOD and GREAT performance ... i love the psycho-neurolinguistacally powerful predictive analysis of our team's coach! GO SOX!! and please forgive me SOSHERS

Gil somehow saved their pen from going seven. Or they could have just used Heaney for seven and then shot him into the sun or something (still furious that Sox lost to him).

Here comes the patented Twins collapse.

Of course it involves a walk to that washed up fucking peckerhead Gardner.

The BS of walking Gardner just blows me away. Throw him STRIKES! EDIT: I see Rocco got ejected after that. Maybe the terrible non strike call on one of his pitches?

Wont' matter. They could score X and would allow X+1.

And X is 0. Clayton Holmes - random ex Pirates scrub with the W.
I agree. It's inevitable. Just have to hope LOTS of innings get played to wear them down (Although I can't imagine this going much farther).

This is how you need to let Gardner bat especially when the danger is behind him. Even then he'd probably still try to draw a bleeping walk.
