Seahawks run D was bad last year (28th at 4.9 YPC), so I'm guessing we'll see more run run run from the Pats. Belichick doesn't always do the obvious thing though.I am fascinated to see what the gameplan is for this one. If I had to place a bet early, without really having done a lot of research, I'd bet its a James White game
I'd assume that any sacks we get in this game will be coverage sacks, and very limited rushing/blitzing. Bill is going to want the front 7 in contain mode to keep Wilson from hurting them too much, and rely on his secondary to limit Wilson's options in the air.I'll be interested in watching the Seattle vs. Atlanta game from yesterday. Ryan threw for 450 yards, so I'm curious to see if they were empty stats; Atlanta had 3 WRs with over 100 yards receiving. Looking at Seattle's roster, this is not the Legion of Boom defense. They're still big, physical, and aggressive, but the pass rushers are meh and the starting LBs are all 30+.
Defensively, NE's pass rush is going to have to be a lot better than it was yesterday. Seattle's OL always seems to have issues, but Wilson/Lockett/Metcalf are waaay more dangerous than what Miami threw out there.
The pressure this coming week needs to come inside the tackles with Wise and Cowart. Then the ends can contain and squeeze the pocket down on Wilson.I'd assume that any sacks we get in this game will be coverage sacks, and very limited rushing/blitzing. Bill is going to want the front 7 in contain mode to keep Wilson from hurting them too much, and rely on his secondary to limit Wilson's options in the air.
Mariners -giants midweek series was moved to SF.What is the possibility the game gets moved out of Seattle due to the air quality issues caused by the wildfires?
Looks like much needed rain the the PNW Thursday/Friday, so hopefully that'll help. What is the possibility the game gets moved out of Seattle due to the air quality issues caused by the wildfires?
Finally get a game in Seattle and I can't goGoing to be interesting to see what it's like playing in these stadiums where crowds were such a huge part of the home field advantage.
My best friends youngest son lives in Seattle and works for Facebook, we planned a visit out there last year when the schedule came out, he was going to line up tickets..........Finally get a game in Seattle and I can't go![]()

In fairness to CC, Brady did look him in the eyes and lie to his face...Collinsworth was truly heartbroken that the Seahawks lost that game.
He's the president of the Patriots hater club.
CC sounded like one of the 12's after that interception. In fairness to CC, Brady did look him in the eyes and lie to his face...
And he was so excited when Kearse made the catch that he was practically giggling. But he absolutely was despondent when the Butler INT happened. So great.CC sounded like one of the 12's after that interception.
"Saint's Rest, please report to Commissioner Goodell's office. And bring your phone."Back when the schedule was announced, since Pete Carroll used to be one of my wife's client, I asked her to reach out to him about going to this game for my birthday (which is a couple weeks away so there's still time for most of you to do your shopping).
Here are some shots from the last time she reached out to him.
The final pic is a view from our seats, which were in the luxury box managed by Pete's wife and the GM's wife.
I'm sorry, the judges were looking for "more probable than not that I was generally aware"I am probably most likely unaware of the joke you are making.
No Doritos were harmed in my post.
And again, it’s fine to say they should have run a different play, but for the record the Seahawks circa 2012-2013 were terrible offensively on the goal line and Marshawn Lynch over his career was terrible from the 1 yard line - under 50% I think - so running him into a defense of eight men on the D-line may not have resulted in anything other than a stop followed by a Seattle timeout and a pass.View attachment 34253

Yeah, he could barely contain himself, he was gutted after that interception. And he was so excited when Kearse made the catch that he was practically giggling. But he absolutely was despondent when the Butler INT happened. So great.
But considering the previous play from the 5, when Hightower was barely able to trip up a charging Lynch at the goal line, another handoff looked all but certain. OH WELL!And again, it’s fine to say they should have run a different play, but for the record the Seahawks circa 2012-2013 were terrible offensively on the goal line and Marshawn Lynch over his career was terrible from the 1 yard line - under 50% I think - so running him into a defense of eight men on the D-line may not have resulted in anything other than a stop followed by a Seattle timeout and a pass.
Eh. I hear you, but I’m more thinking ‘well this is just a game ain’t it’Win if for #28.
Hope he's wrong but that doesn't seem crazy tonight.Curran’s pick is on brand:
Seahawks 34
Pats 16
I dont see this being a blowout. Pats may lose but IMO its a FG game either way. Pats D is too good, IMO, to let it get out of control. Only question I have is will the Pats offense be cohesive enough to score themselvesIt’s bizarro world when Dungy and Simms are the only ones to go with the Patriots
