Add HDMI Output to PC

I have an older computer that I use for my home theater and I am looking to add an HDMI output. I was previously using a VGA converter to output to HDMI but it stopped working recently so I figured I would look into adding an HDMI output directly to the PC itself. After looking into it a bit it seems as though I need to upgrade the graphics card but I'm not sure how to tell if it will be compatible with my computer.
 
Are there any good resources for checking compatibility? Also, does anyone have any suggestions on a specific graphics card that would work? Since it is only being used to stream local media to my TV I'm looking for a low cost option.

Just get a low-profile GPU with HDMI-out. It might have one of those weird, smaller ports and you'd need a converter (usually included with the card).
 
I don't think they made GPUs without HDMI ports anymore. Surf newegg's reviews, order off of Amazon, slide that badmofo in. The PC supports PCIe, so you shouldn't have a problem.

One tip is to get a card that uses passive cooling (just a heatsink, no fan). Keep your PC quieter while you're watching movies with it.

Thanks for the input, I picked up this one off Amazon for $32 after rebate. It was extremely easy to install .
