McVay teams always way too late to the line. Always a scramble with the play clock. Always a bad play when late. Once you see it you can’t stop seeing it.

Whether spots are overturned or upheld feels like the most random part of instant replay. I can’t fault McVay for throwing the challenge flag, presumably against the advice of his coaches upstairs.
Spots are rarely overturned on plays like sneaks or HB dives where there’s a muck of bodies.
And nothing in the replays suggested he had it

That rate makes sense. Taking a pay cut is pretty standard with a retirement job.
Last week Aikman called him his favorite player in the NFL. I didn’t know announcers could say things like that but it’s understandable.
I can’t tell if the coaching is overrated or if the Rams’ non-marquee guys are not very good, but you’re absolutely right.
